I stayed at this hotel for three nights in early March as I was in Mexico for a wedding.
My original room was on the ground floor adjacent to the outdoor dining area. As the west facing wall is sheer glass, the room is completely visible to the outside when the drapes are open. Restaurant patrons were sitting directly outside my room, such that everyone could look inside and I had no privacy. When I raised this concern with the staff, she informed me they were fully booked. I tried to settle into the room and realized there was no way that I could stay shuttered inside this room, attempting to have some semblance of privacy. I then went to the front desk to inform her I could not stay longer than one night as a female solo traveller I felt on display in this room. She then showed me to the second floor, which was a dramatic improvement and an absolutely beautiful room. (Despite being “full”)
The hotel pools and beachfront location are stunning. However, during the day it is a beach club such that from 11 AM to 7 PM dance music blares over the speakers and the grounds are full of beach club members. There is no escaping the music and there is no possibility of relaxing whatsoever.
I am plant-based and had limited options on the restaurant menu although I did enjoy the items I was able to have. Staff were also very lovely.
The view of the sunset is unbelievable however, if you’re looking for a quiet place to enjoy the beach, this is not where you want to.
