Charmant Adobe One Block van het Mesilla Plaza

Mooie, prive-casita een blok van het plein. Historische charme met moderne gemakken. Perfect voor een rustig toevluchtsoord. Omheinde plavuizen patio in de achtertuin volledig uitgerust met gasgrill, buitenhaard, eethoek buiten en openslaande deuren vanuit het huis. Grote voortuin volledig omheind. Volledige veranda zorgt voor schaduw voor schommelstoel. Dit huis is rustig, maar op slechts een steenworp afstand van de feesten en activiteiten op het historische Mesilla Plaza. Winkels en restaurants, een onafhankelijk filmtheater en een boekhandel binnen twee blokken. Boutique wijnbar met een mooie schaduwrijke patio en livemuziek op minder dan een steenworp afstand. Het huis is volledig uitgerust met alle voorzieningen, inclusief alles voor de veeleisende kok. Voorzien van airconditioning voor zomercomfort.

* Na enige tijd te hebben genomen om deze woning op lange termijn te huren, zijn we terug bij vakantieverhuur!

Authentic Mesilla experience
The casita was a great place to stay for a week exploring Mesilla and the surrounding area. It was fun to stay in an authentic adobe home. We were surprised at how spacious it was and found it to be very attractive and comfortable. Although we did not prepare meals there, we were impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was with dishes and quality cookware. Having a washer and dryer available was also a plus. We enjoyed walking around Mesilla and appreciated being so close to the plaza, shops and restaurants.

Cute little casita!
The casita was clean, cozy, comfortable, and close to great restaurants and coffee shops. It was also convenient to Las Cruces. We were in town for our daughter's wedding in Mesilla and looking for somewhere to stay, preferably not a hotel. We found this listing and booked. It had everything we needed inside and had a nice back yard area that was private. We would definitely stay here again!

This adobe home had so much charm. The outdoor spaces were very inviting to sit and drink coffee on the cool mornings. Location to the plaza was very close and convenient. We enjoyed our stay and will book this home again!

Quaint Abode
We loved this cute little adobe. It was very comfortable and clean, close to restaurants. Our daughter-in-law stopped by and she runs an AB&B and was taking notes of all the amenities that were available. There was nothing lacking as far as kitchen/bath supplies. Very pleased and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

A Perfect 10!
Yes, 10 stars! The most darling, magical little house right near Mesilla plaza. My first impression on walking into the house was how clean it was and the lovely aura of peace and tranquility I felt. The house is supplied with everything you could ever need. It's been awhile since I felt so content and relaxed, but the house brought me that. The neighborhood is very quiet, so nice to sit out in the evening in the front or back yard. At one point I locked myself out and I emailed the manager in a panic. Megan responded quickly and told me what I needed to do. So I give this property a very high recommendation and this Canadian plans to return next year. It's so perfect!

Very nice and very well equipped house. The house has everything that is needed, and then some. The location is great. Being in a "historic" neighborhood is good and bad. Most of the houses are very nice but as with any location there are some that are "not so nice". Unfortunately the property right next door. We will stay here again.

Perfect stay
We were retracing the route we took on our honeymoon 50 years ago. The motel we originally stayed in was no longer available so we booked this precious adobe casita in Mesilla. Boy! Are we glad we did!!!! The only negative is that we couldn't stay longer! The pictures online DO NOT do this property justice! Whoever restored/updated this casita did an absolutely excellent job. All of the old charm still intact, but all the modern amenities available. The casita was spotless, the bed beyond comfortable. We would have loved to have spent a month here! It is within easy (even for my wonky knee!) walking distance to the plaza in Old Mesilla. Take note that there are no streetlights so if you are not planning on being back to the property before dark, just make sure you have a flashlight to help you see your way. There are some available for use at the casita. Neighborhood seems very safe; we had no worries about it even at our ages. We arrived after dark on the first night so had a bit of a problem seeing the number on the fence, but once we realized where we were it was no problem as the lights on the front of the house lit up the walkway very well as we unloaded. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe have a luggage rack available. That was truly the ONLY thing lacking in this amazing property!!! We love the Las Cruces/Mesilla area and hope to return soon to this precious casita!

Midweek Getaway
We were in Mesilla as part of our extended vacation and were fortunate to stay at this property. The house was a perfect size for the two of us, was well-maintained, and very close to the Mesilla plaza and all that it offers (restaurants and coffee shops and a variety of stores all within easy walking distance). While we never felt we were not safe, it was a little unnerving the first night when we realized there were no streetlights away from the plaza! The host of the house actually has flashlights next to the front door as we found out when we got home! Nice touch. Will try to schedule this property again when we are in the area.

Great stay!
We spent a long weekend and loved the property. The house is very comfortable, has everything you need and a perfect walking dispatch to the square. The only negative comment is if you plan on using the couch bed, don't! Its extremely uncomfortable. The owner noted this is to be replaced soon. We hope to visit again next year!

Home Sweet, beautiful, home...
We offer this review not so much as a "statement of fact," but rather as a statement of "considered opinion." It is our opinion that the only way to make a guest feel "at home" is to make your home feel like their home. We have never stayed at another VRBO (except for a large house shared with dear friends in Monterey Bay), which has been so beautifully arranged and perfectly appointed to make a short stay feel like walking out of "your front door" and into a world of friendly, happy people...sharing the best that Las Cruces and New Mexico has to offer. The only "negative comment" that we might have to offer is that we have looked to book this property again in two weeks, and it is not available for our dates....boo! We give it "5 Stars" only because we aren't allowed to give it more. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
