'We’ve been making a 5 hour drive to Duluth frequently and the Saint Croix in is a great place to stay on the way. Less than an hour from Duluth, it is more affordable than lodging in Duluth. I can’t comment on what it is like in summer, but in winter it is very quiet. It is on a quiet, tucked-away street. We had a trailer full of stuff since we’re moving and none of it was touched overnight in the parking lot. They have regular construction workers that stay so we request lakeside for $10 more...

'Came for a business meeting and needed no frills, so picked the cheapest place I could find. When they handed me a brass key and not a magnetic card, I was a bit worried. Don't let the older style of this building fool you. This had the feel of a 1970s motel but was really clean and comfortable. The room had the 'Northern Woods' decor seen in a lot of places in Hayward, so it was cozy and woodsy. Pretty view of the river and super close to everything. Pleasantly surprised.'

'My husband & I had a relaxing time at the cabin. It was very clean, cozy, and had everything you needed. Of note, the lodge is not too far away from the cabin, so you do have neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved riding around in the golf cart! '
