'We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights at the Lakeside Loft, it is truly right in the heart and soul of Rotorua! Near to a lakeside walk and park for kids, but not close enough to make it a distraction. A dozen restaurants and ice cream only steps away! Our favorite was Croucher Craft Brew for the mussels, but get there early because they run out. The apartment was huge, spotless and well appointed. 'I messaged the host the day before about check in procedure. No reply. Arrived to check in but nobody there and no details about how to access the lock box. Called the host’s number on VRBO but the number was unavailable. Pondered long and hard about my next move. The cleaners arrived to clean the main house at 3.10 and were very helpful. They had no idea we were checking in. They called their cleaning boss more than once and eventually found the code for the lock box so we could enter the...

'We had a wonderful time sitting outside watching the birds, People, fishermen and dogs. Such a beautiful location with a walkway around the lake that you could easier walk to the small downtown. Grocery, drugstore, restaurants were within walking distance. Everyone was friendly. The kitchen was stocked for breakfast and had everything you would need to cook. 'Mooie comfortabele huisjes met mooi ligging en redelijk uitzicht. Van alle motels en hotels op onze route had deze de meest bureaucratische en irritante incheckprocedure: Ondanks dat ik online geboekt had en ze al mijn gegevens al hadden moest ik alles nog eens invullen op meerdere formulieren! Verder is het personeel niet bijzonder vriendelijk, zijn de huisjes gehorig, valt er op het onderhoud wel wat aan te merken en als je met open raam slaapt heb je nog redelijk wat last van verkeerslawaai...
