This house is beautifully furnished. It is located downtown perfectly situated close to all things Montevallo. So why the bad review? I rent a LOT from VRBO multiple times a year. So im very familiar with the checkin process, etc. I came into town to bury my father at the National Cemetery. And before booking, I made sure that it would be ok for me to have visitors during my stay. They approved via email. Checkin is at 4. But we would arrive at 5:45. On the way, i realized i never received access instructions. So, i contact the host. The host proceeds to tell me that she didnt have my reservation. So i emailed her the reservation number + the picture of the reservation w/Booked highlighted in green. By this time, we are pretty much in the neighborhood. She informs me that she is on the phone w/VRBO & they cant find my reservation. Which is impossible bc my reservation is in Green as in Booked. So i start a chat with VRBO. While im on hold, she texts me the 1800 number for VRBO to call for myself. Once my chat was picked up, i gave him the reservation number. He instantly says its booked and confirmed. He calls the host to see what the deal is. No sure what their exchange was, but 20 mins later, she texts saying it was fixed. So now i need the code. I texted asking where she was going to send the code. Her reply "VRBO messaging". I politely asked her to text me the code. 1 hr later, we were in.
