'The first impression of the property was great! The beds were comfortable and just enough room for the 6 of us. We did have an issue with a couple of things. First, we were not told that we needed to bring soap, shampoo and conditioner. Secondly, we tried to cook in the oven only to have the smoke alarm to go off after a couple of minutes of cooking. 'Every year the ladies in our family pick a weekend in December to travel somewhere and see Christmas lights. This year we went to Natchitoches, LA for their Christmas Lights Festival. We stayed at A&A Lakehouse and we so happy we did! The location was perfect (close to downtown), clean, plenty of room for the seven of us and the host was so nice and very responsive. We plan on coming back for the 100 anniversary of the Christmas Festival and will MOST definitely try to book this property...

'The house was beautiful, warm and cosy with everything you needed for a wonderful stay. The location on the river and within walking distance to Front Street was exceptional. We all had such a wonderful time. The hosts were fabulous. We are already planning for our next trip. Highly recommend. '

'House was very clean and comfortable. Cane River runs behind it and area was peaceful and beautiful. We’ve stayed at many VRBO’s in the past and this was our favorite. 'Pleasant abode, but on two floors: narrow stairs to a large bedroom with TV sitting area and large bathroom with walk-in shower. Bed comfy and king size, with a single roll-away bed for a 3rd person. 'Everything was great, the house, the beds and everything we needed was there, the only complaint I have was there was no TV in a common area for us all to watch the games Saturday night. other than that we had a great time and really enjoyed the house'

'The cabin was beautiful and tranquil. The host was awesome.'

'This home worked perfectly for our needs. We were there for a sibling reunion. The biggest issue we had was dealing with all of the stairs. The master bedroom is on the second floor and the two other bedrooms are on the third floor. We are all seniors so we had to minimize trips to our bedrooms. The hostess was wonderful and made us feel very welcome.'

'The inside was beautiful, and all the necessities were provided. What we did not realize is that the location was on a regular street with locals living on each side, but we had no issues and the neighborhood was quiet. The only turn off was that on the front porch there was an old chair with an old table that had an ash tray and a bucket full of cigarette buds. Once you were inside you had that vacation feeling. It was also close to the plantations and about 10 minutes from Natchitoches. '

'House was as advertised. Fishing was great. We caught over 70 bream. Only one garbage bag was supplied. The dishwasher was broken. The TV in the main bedroom was not working right. These issues would not be particularly important except for the fact that the rate was $275 a night. Otherwise, the location, views and fishing were very nice.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday in the peace and quiet provided by this location. It also provides a large communal space with fire pits, swings, and large grills for cooking. We will definitely be booking again.'

'I specifically ask if I could go fishing. Was told 3 times yes. Got there and you couldn’t for the water grass and weeds. The boat house was being renovated, so they offered to put me in Yhe Pelican house. It was a tiny home, with a short small loft for a bedroom which had a ladder to access the bed. I couldn’t climb the ladder. I tried to rest on the futon. It was to hard. No Tv, games, not even a radio, no cell service. The place was clean as was the land scape. They refunded my cost. 'Photos inside are accurate. Home was fully stocked with supplies needed for our stay. House is set back on the property. If you are not familiar with the area you might have a difficult time finding it at night. Loved the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor, perfect for elderly travelers. Host very, very accommodating. Would definitely recommend. '

'The pictures did not do the home justice. We were so impressed with how large the "mobile home" was. Two items that I failed to mention. There must be a smoke detector that needs new batteries - as there was a chirp and we didn't know where it was coming from. The shower knob in the first bathroom was loose, popped off and ended up spraying water until we were able to reattach. Otherwise, everything was GREAT!'

"Bij binnenkomst zagen we al gelijk kakkerlakken. De koelkast was heel vies en daar lag een dode kakkerlak in. Dezelfde avond even terug naar de receptie en er werd ons wel gelijk een andere kamer aangeboden. De koelkast heb ik uiteindelijk zelf maar schoongemaakt. De andere kamer geen bugs meer gezien maar ze gingen ineens alle tv kastjes vervangen. Waarschijnlijk ging het nieuwe abonnement nog niet in want we konden geen tv meer kijken. Personeel was heel wisselend qua vriendelijkheid en service. "
