'This is a lovely, quiet, small basic cabin, ideal for one or two nights, but would prefer more rooms if staying longer in New Plymouth. Shirley is a lovely host and the description of the cabin is as it was. Very handy & convenient to New Plymouth attractions.'

'The Hut itself is somewhat tired and although you know its old and quirky we would find being there if the weather was wet & miserable pretty ugly! Plus the advertised "air conditioning" is 3 standing fans and 2 oil heaters. It also advertises coffee maker so we took [and brought back] some Nespresso capsules but the maker was a coffee pot for the electric plug-in desktop stove. As for the flat screen TV; its on the bedroom wall in the main building (not the outside bedroom) and needed...

'A beautiful location right on the water's edge, perfect for swimming and kayaking. Lovely big lawn for some backyard cricket. Older style lockwood bach which has everything you need. Angela from bachcare is brilliant too.'
