'Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. 'We originally booked a 1 bedroom but the night before we got there we were told that wasn’t available and we were being given a different unit. I felt uncomfortable with that at such late notice but the house we were given was much larger and grander. The location was perfect for our stay and travels. The owner was kind and helpful. They have a family farm and were working a lot so we appreciated his time. The views are pretty and it was very peaceful.'

By American standards the bathrooms are great and there was a king-sized bed! We really appreciated being able to do some laundry. 'We stayed here for 6 days and it was wonderful. The cottage is super cozy and has everything you need. The communication with Steph was perfect all the time and she was always helpful. The cottage is a bit far off in the nature so you'd definitely want to have a car for your stay. It's a 1- 1 and 1/2 hour drive to different touristic places like Cliffs of Mother, Spanish Point etc but I would recommend everyone to visit the cliffs of Kilkee, because it is much more beautiful and not that...

'Beautiful authentic cottage. The house is very clean, well maintained en very well equiped. It is situated on a working farm, however privacy and tranquillity are guaranteed. Nice private garden. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. We will certainly book this cottage again.'

'If you want a taste of true rural Ireland, this is the place to stay. The Thatch and the Shed are both beautiful, modern, clean and highly kept up. We used this property as our home base for day trips to Kilkenny, Callan, Waterford, Wexford, Glendalough, Blarney Castle, and Kilarney. '

'This was a very lovely house, however there was an oil leak with a VERY STRONG ODOR !! This odor gave me a headache. The owner was aware of this problem because her son came over shortly after we arrived, said that they would get someone out to repair it but after 4 nights it was not repaired.. The electric tea kettle had so much red liquid sediment in it I was afraid to use it .. The liquid hand soap dispenser was almost empty in the bathroom. No extra toilet paper was provided.'

'Een cottage die is ingericht op eigen wijze. De cottage heeft alle gemakken om een verblijf aangenaam te maken. Er is veel rust in de omgeving, waardoor je je heerlijk kunt ontspannen. Denise is een geweldige gastvrouw, die ons regelmatig verraste met eigen gebakken brood. Als er al problemen zijn dan worden die snel en accuraat opgelost.'

'We had a wonderful stay at Dairy Cottage. We felt very welcome and have had a great time. The house was vwry nice and well prepared and stocked. The view from the backyard is spectacular.'

'We really enjoyed this cottage. It was exactly as listed. So cozy and felt like home. Our host was lively and we loved the town. We enjoyed several meals at Giltrap Pub. Mattresses are still the kind with springs which was not a great fit for our backs but the rooms and duvet covers were just great!! Nice shower and bathroom. Overall, I’d recommend this cottage to all. We were able to make several day trips East and South. Great location if your renting a car. Thanks a million.'
