'Located a few minutes from the Tobu station, and still walking distance from the temple complexes and imperial villa. If you have the World Heritage pass the busses from the station to these destinations are free. Decent room and bathroom. Breakfast is inclusive: a hard boiled egg, potato salad, some cabbage and bread. There is free coffee and tea.'

'Hotel seemed recently renovated. Large clean room with own bathroom. Good value. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner. We had dinner in a local restaurant a couple of hundred meters down the street. Kinugawa Onsen itself is nog the prettiest of onsen towns, but fairly close to Nikko, that is why we chose tot stay there.'

'The hotel is old, it gives the feeling you've travelled back in time. We booked the hotel to experience classic room with futon beds. The view from the room was very nice. Breakfast / dinner buffet was fine. The room came with kimono / yukata and quite a lot of people were wearing them in the restaurant too. We had a non-smoking room. The room smelled a bit, but this is just from wooden materials in the room in combination with the hot weather. It certainly did not smell like someone had...
