'Clean and well maintained facility in the heart of the Palisades Village'

'The property is clean and located mere steps from the Palisades Tahoe village and the Tram building (and also close to the bottom of the WaSheShu lift I think). Convenient parking for one vehicle per room in the adjacent garage. Staff was friendly and helpful, though maybe a little slow on checking people in that night. Some parts of the property were undergoing renovation during my stay, so I gave the Property Condition only 4 out of five stars.'

'My wife and I have lived in South Lake Tahoe for nearly fifty years so we’ve been doing Squaw Valley since before they built the Village. Our first time staying here and it was nice to discover this place is its own little world and whatever the season you are right in the middle of it. Amazing place! Any of the condos for rent here would be a special vacation but I found one that met every possible need and it’s located in a unique section of the Village across the alley from the CoffeeCornor....

'We’ve been staying at this hotel for 7 years during the holiday season, and this is one of our favorites. However, this year we were very disappointed with the very short list of activities prepared for the guests. The new management is not quite successful with the entertainment program. The previous management had numerous activities throughout the day, including activities for children, entertainment at the lobby, hot cocoa during the day, a coffee bar by the lobby. 'This property is historical and quaint, it was where the Olympic athletes stayed for the 1960 Olympics. It was a bit tricky trying to find where the front office was, but we loved the location. The woman at the front desk was great and so helpful. We were so pleased that we had bikes available on site for our use. Walking to the main Ski Area was easy. It is showing some age on the outside, but the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need, including warm robes.'
