'Peregrine House is situated on a quiet road in a peaceful location with a lovely view of the bay and gorgeous sunsets. There is easy access to the town of Castine and the house is a short walk to the beach where we enjoyed swimming. The house was well-equipped. The beds and living area were comfortable. Mary Lou was responsive to our questions and needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.'

'This was a great little place! 4 bedrooms, a fire pit, lots of dishes available. The general location is pretty central, with easy access to highways and the mall. The street is not the easiest to access, unfortunately. The floors were pretty squeaky, and the front downstairs mattress was not the most comfortable. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. 'Nicely appointed cabin in a fantastic setting. Situated right on the lake with great views of the water and the sunrise. The hosts are close by in the event they are needed and will come by and welcome guests personally. The cabin is clean, up-to-date and stocked with everything guests need. The 'extras' such as canoes, kayaks, yard games, fire pit, board games, streaming TV channels and the full deck with the Weber grill make it so guests never have to leave.
