'Great overnight stop with the most friendly and helpful of staff. Facilities excellent and being able to bring our dog was so good. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast options were just right for us. Will definitely stay again. The price was also the best value for money you could ask for. Could not recommend more.'

'Car park is relatively small, with 2 large 4x4s on there, it was a bit of a nightmare to park at first. There is an overflow car park though (perhaps exceedingly large vehicles should be disallowed or only allowed on the overflow?) Staff are excellent, especially Anna and the gentleman (whose name i didn't get) who served us for breakfast the first half of the week, both are superb at what they do. Good quality and quantity spread breakfast, made to order, and caters for dairy and gluten...

'It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. '

'Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Ensuit was spacious. Unfortunately we found the shower to be very hot and didn’t know how to turn it down (it was turned all the way to the coldest option). But to be fair, we didn’t ask for any help with it, so it could have been a simple fix. We hadn’t really thought through staying above a pub. 'The highfield was a lovely stay. Big, very clean room. A hairdryer almost as old as me however, and not much in the way of extra's. Coffee, tea, biscuits etc. But thats a very small minor on an overall lovely stay. Breakfast and the staff were amazing 👏 '

'Heel mooi kasteelhotel met een prachtige grote kamer met hemelbed. Let op dat je een kamer boekt in het kasteel zelf. Neem je een goedkopere kamer dan zit je in een apart huisje op de binnenplaats. Het hotel pretendeert een “ not ordinary hotel “ te zijn en qua entourage klopt dat helemaal, maar wil je werkelijk een supergevoel bij je klant achter laten dan zou je meer betrokken moeten zijn en niet alles gehaast en ongeïnteresseerd af handelen, zeker als je een boeking maakt voor een speciale...

Nice hotel, but needs a lot of upgraden!

"Although I reserve more than 8 week ago we received a room that was on the front side of the building with very loud noise from trafic etc. I asked for another, quiet room on the rear side of the building which was not possible. During night we had to close the window because of the noise!! The room did not have airconditioning! Also I booked a room with a "king" bed. The bed was only 160 cm, By far not a king bed!! "

"Extremely spacious and comfortable appartment. Excellent beds and not too much noise from the street, eventhough it's located in the citycentre. The appartment had a bit of a strange, musty smell, but it was not too present. Overall I would really recommend this accomdation. Good price/quality."
