'Very quiet neighborhood North of Hilo. You have to drive to get to anything, but this is a nice house that is decorated well and has everything you need. Very comfortable even without AC. It does get buggy, which is normal for the area. I also liked being in a house, but not feeling like I was staying IN someone’s home.'

'I feel spoiled to have stayed in this house. It’s situated on immaculate grounds, about 20 min north of Hilo. There was plenty of space for my family of 5 (kids 13, 11 and 6). We really enjoyed viewing stars, the close proximity to Akaka Falls, and the lush front yard area. House is nicely appointed, had everything we could have need and was a lovely getaway!'

'Great quiet location outside of Hilo! Property grounds are very peaceful and the ocean views are incredible. Some of the unit had been updated which was nice. Unit would benefit from another fan/more airflow. '

'My mother and two brothers live on a plot in a remote part of Hamakua coast, near Honokaa. I visit at least once a year. Rachel, the host/owner, keeps a Ohana unit in wonderful shape, she's responsive and a pleasure to work with. She lives on-site. The day we arrived, so did the remnants of a small hurricane. The island and the property were being drenched. Rachel made it as easy as possible for us to get into the unit dry and safe. The unit itself has an unobstructed view of open Pacific. It...

'We had a wonderful time on the Big Island. Beautiful home with all the amenities- complete fresh eggs & Hawaiian fruit! Our hosts were great! We even got to experience a hurricane - Dan & Molly made sure we had flashlights & were nearby if we needed anything!! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home! It’s amazing!'

'We stayed here 4 nights. The only negative was check-in because we had no cell service at the gate & no instructions other than meeting someone who wasn’t at the gate. The gate had a keypad & multiple alarm/security signs, only to find out just remove the chain & push open the gate. HOWEVER, once we arrived at the house, we eventually met the owner who was lovely & accommodating. She gave us a brief tour of the main floor of the house. 'The pictures of the property are perfect of the property. Beautiful home and location. Road getting to the property is a bit steep and curvy but worth the drive! The property is in the rain forest and that comes with geckos, but they kept to themselves. '
