Disappointing
While the location and actual property was nice, the listing fell short of expectations and promises. 1. House was cold when we arrived. Could not locate heater and was unclear that single heater would heat house. 2. No direction booklet. One page with very limited information. Every home any of us had previously stayed in had a detailed booklet on the house, property, etc. 3. Shower in one of the bathrooms was broken. The main reason we chose this property was for a third bathroom. Was not fixed until we returned home late on the second day. 4. No complete cookware. No dinnerware made cooking at home challenging. 5. No wifi access directions so we could not access the wifi. 6. VaCasa customer service was of little help. It was obvious they did not know the property. We would appreciate remuneration of some kind, since our stay was disrupted by lack of communication and instruction from the owners or the rental management company.

Lovely home in beautiful resort
We loved the home as it was much nicer than the pictures showed. The king bed is huge which is nice, very clean and stocked with towels, soap, etc. We loved The Boulders Resort, very quiet and more remote than places we have stayed in the past. We are runners so could get in lots of miles along the roads in the area and soak in the neighborhood hot tub. Dinner and drinks were easy at the bar at the resort main area. We explored Carefree and had lunch there as it is a charming little town next door. Great stay as we were looking for a quiet desert stay during the cold winter months. I highly recommend.

What a great property! Pictures do not do justice. Super spacious, great layout. Really appreciate the bathroom for each bedroom. Located within the Boulders property. Everyone is super friendly and it is super nice having all the restaurants on property. Will 100% be back!

Whitethorn Villa
The property description was accurate and the home was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay but there were a number of small issues that did influence our opinions about how the property is maintained. It appears that as things get broken at the property they are not replaced or fixed. Not having enough glassware and dishes for all the guests that the home accommodates is really such an easy fix so I find that it's not acceptable. Neither is not fixing the broken blind in master bedroom so that privacy and light control can be maintained. Or a broken bedside lamp. I also say this about the bed linens. All pillows should have the proper size cases and all pillows should HAVE a case. I have always found it helpful that management leaves some instructions about how things operate in a home but nothing like this was provided so we had to do a lot of guess work to figure out how things should be.

Wonderfull at the Boulders. Unit needs tlc, light bulbs, cobwebs removed, batteries in remote for ceiling fans, outlets in master bath not working. Please address for future guests and we will return!

The house is tired and poorly maintained .
We have rented this property several times over the past 5-6 years. Each time it seems more tired. Someone did do some decorating w decorative items. But, the utensils in the kitchen need replacing, the kitchen supplies were old and sparse- bowls, accessories and such were sparse. No dish towels at all. The furniture outside is saggy, dirty and tired, there is a decorative wooden ladder outside that is falling apart and is dangerous., could fall against a window and break it. After a couple of days, mouse droppings were noticed on the kitchen counter and in a closet. Also, cockroaches were spotted. I e-Maile a manager and never heard back. Lively spot with so much to offer in the area. This place needs attention. The French doors on the outside are looking very sad, the patio needs cleaning and some repair work. No one is taking care of this place.

Desert Oasis
My husband and teenaged daughter had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It was great to relax on the back porch with its views of cactus and desert wildlife after a busy day exploring the greater Scottsdale area. The entire Boulders community was really lovely and we would like to return for another visit.

Great for golf at Boulders, low key, not luxury
A nice house in the Boulders community. Furnishings are very basic (ie cheap). Lots of room with 3 bedrooms and a nice private patio. Kitchen supplies need some help (ie how about at bottle opener?). A dead lighter / clicker was left so had to buy one to use the fireplace. BBQ works and is good. Quite a few burned out light bulbs and replacement bulbs with harsh long lasting flourescent bulbs which is not ideal. Trash day was supposed to be Tuesday. No pick up. It seemed that Tuesday is recycling day (pink containers) and Thursday is recycling (grey). House only has grey. (We left the trash out all day Tuesday, (no pick up), and all day Wednesday until the coyotes eventually got into it and spewed trash all over the road. (Old wet towels in the trash?? Maybe housekeeping ran out of dryer time). Overall its an ok house, fairly low key. Don’t expect luxury. (Ps there is no hot tub or pool, there is a communal hot tub and pool down the street). Supposed access to gym and spa, but it was never made clear how access worked.

The Bolders is a awesome resort.
Very nice Home except the house has not been maintained well at all. The Master Bedroom reaked of Mildew or mold. The carpet should have been changed out 10 years ago. The shower in the master had black crap on the corners. My girlfriend and one guest couldn't stop sneezing and she's fealing sick today. Many Of the lamps and the light fixtures were different colors and many burned out. Several plugs including the master bedroom vandy not working. Dishwasher did not work.

We had an amazing time staying at this property. It was extremely spacious and comfortable. The pool was in walking distance of a few minutes. Shopping in 5-10 minutes. The beds were very comfortable and being able to do laundry helped us pack a lot less. Well stocked with bath towels and pool towels. Centrally located to lakes and amusement parks. We could not have asked for better location. Quite and peaceful.

Great property!
Loved our stay! We always stay at The Boulders resort but had a bigger group this time so decided to find a larger property in community. Home was very clean and well appointed. Had access to Boulders golf club/dining. I asked that sheets be washed with unscented detergent and they were and additional unscented detergent was provided along with all natural products throughout the home. This makes such a difference for sensitive people like me - very much appreciated! Overall, great stay!

Perfect for our Family
We loved the house. It was a great location in the Boulders property, close to the pool, nice nature trail and great workout facility. The only recommendations we have is for the management to fix the GFI that tripped in the master bathroom, replace the few lightbulbs were burnt out in light fixtures, the dishwasher leaked, when it rained there was a small leak next to the fireplace, and the ice could have been fresher. Other than those easy fixes, it was a fantastic fit for our family of 5.

Enjoyable Stay and Kudos to Carl
Overall, enjoyed the house and hope to return. It was 115 outside, but we were very cool and comfortable thanks to a good AC. We ran into a few bumps, but Carl the property manager was very responsive and was good at solving our issues. Thanks Carl! Some observations: 1. replace carpet in master bedroom. 2. larger cookware needed 3. nice, spacious layout. Each of the 3 bedrooms has it's own bath next to room. 4. beautiful landscaping and plants and the outdoor area. Nice end unit in culdesac. 5. gas grill was clean and had plenty of propane. 6. overall, pretty clean but that master carpet has got to go ASAP!

Beautiful spacious villa in great location at Boulders resort. Close to many great golf courses. Only negative is kitchen is not well equipped. No serving bowls or full sized cookie sheets. Pots and pans are not in good shape. No other issues. Loved the gas fireplace in living room. Would come back.
