'A great place for some peace and quiet. Only 30 minutes away from some interesting towns, if you really must be on the go. Excellent service and attention from the hosts. Very good chef. I am planning to get back there again.'

'The appearance of the room looked clean, however we tried to run a bath and we could not get the tub to fill. When packing up to leave we noticed a there was a roach in the side table. Nice staff though. Looks like they may be remodeling some of the rooms. '

'The Amherst Inn was a very convenient choice for the event we were staying for at nearby Sweet Briar College. It was easy to get to and the staff was very friendly and informative about things to do and places to eat nearby. The room was clean but small, the ac worked great, and the outside appearance and parking area was neat and safe. It was well lit and comfortable. 'Checkin was easy. Snacks and kitchen area were nice. Nice touches like white noise machine, eye masks, etc were a really unexpected and nice touch. Our room was a bit cramped, and it would’ve been nice to have some plates and cutlery in the kitchen. The microwave was way too loud too. We felt like we were disturbing everyone, every time we used it. '

'Our stay at Piedmont Grove was awesome. We enjoyed the breweries and the wineries. It’s a quiet stay. We plan to go back so we can hike. I wish the cabins had microwaves. Other than that, our stay was perfect. '
