'The Nellie House is a good base for exploring Elkin and its eateries and walking paths and the surrounding area, including Winston-Salem. We visited when the fall foliage was stunning and enjoyed our time there. The house has plenty of space and a good kitchen. I didn't like that the dining table was in a nook off the living room, far from the kitchen, but that wouldn't bother everyone. 'We visit every year in October to enjoy local wineries and sometimes some hiking. This was a very nice property and good value. Very nice layout with comfortable living rooms. A bedroom and bathroom on each end of the house which is great for some privacy. There is also an extra bedroom on one end which would have been great if we brought our daughter. Very clean covered car port is a plus.'

Loved the amount of technology and what was provided. For future bookers, just know that the bathroom situation is definitely rough, which they did warn us of. 'We had to go down for my brother's wedding. The location was within an easy 20-ish minute drive and was still far enough away to not be in town while still being easy to get to things. It was nice and we really enjoyed it.'
