Our first impression of Grandview Cabin was very positive. It’s a cute little place with definitely GRAND views. We had corresponded through VRBO to ensure that the cabin had proper access for two full-size pick-up trucks and motorcycle trailers. Upon entering the neighborhood, we had cause to doubt the party we spoke to, as the two hairpin turns were a bit daunting the first-time in.
The driveway and parking area seemed much smaller than the photos had led us to believe. We assume a fisheye lens was used to photograph the cabin and surrounding area as there was not, in fact, room for two trucks, with trailers and four motorcycles in the driveway and parking area once we unloaded. One truck and trailer had to be parked off to the side of the road. Neighbors, however, were wonderful as we had no issue with this the whole week.
The cabin had the same problem. While cute and cozy, it also immediately struck us that it was much closer quarters than the photos made it seem. This was not a real problem, but we felt mislead in retrospect.
Bedrooms and kitchen were fully stocked with linens and dishware. Clear instructions were left for the Wi-Fi, TV and Gas grill; however, there were no instructions at all for the hot tub – a major draw when searching for our vacation getaway home this year.
