'My family loved the rental and the area!! Great hikes in Shenandoah National Park, quaint little town with the beautiful Luray Caverns… a beautiful cavern, excursions to local Battlefields, and a very handy Walmart. We sat outside by the fire pit, and one night we saw the Northern Lights!!! A real treat! We relaxed in the hot tub and heated pool!! We also enjoyed the game room! Great Vacay!'

'We went to see Luray Caverns. Comfortable. Clean - big points for clean! Hot tub to finish the night. Very quiet. We all said we’d keep this for future trips. '

'We enjoyed staying at Gretchen's beautiful, quiet, cozy chalet, which was clean and roomy and stocked well with towels, toiletries etc. We enjoyed the chalet's gorgeous large window views in the living room. The home housed a media projector and a large screen, which served as a television. Thankfully, my son has technical skills and set this up for us. We appreciated the welcome board message that greeted our family and the very nice welcome gift for us, chocolate and a Shenandoah handbag!...

'We enjoyed the stay, daughters and grand kids came to visit. No cell internet or tv signal was nice. Quiet place nice peaceful nights. '

'This charming, clean home provided all the comforts we needed, conveniently situated just a short drive from Massanutten resort, dining options, and shopping. Responsive owners promptly addressed any concerns we had. Despite its initially modest appearance, the home surprised us with its spaciousness upon entry, featuring a single-story layout with a basement. The soundproof walls and floors ensured a peaceful atmosphere, while amenities like foosball, ping-pong, and the pool table entertained...

'As always everything was wonderful on Helms Mountain. Peaceful, relaxing, and the electric fireplace made it cozy on the cold nights. Hot tub was the best way to start the day and also finish the day under the stars.'

"The motel was very old and worn down. Cleanliness seemed okay. Location was not quiet due to loud train traffic during the night as well as loud air conditioning units. The view of the mountains was nice, but the area didn't feel all that safe. The wifi connection was bad. All of this would have been acceptable for me with the cheap price, but then I discovered bedbugs right before going to bed, causing me to have to sleep in my car instead. Luckily, I did get my money back. However they were so easy about it that it seemed to be a regular occurrence. Watch out for bedbugs if you still want to book here."
