We did enjoy our stay. Since we usually stay using Vrbo, I like to review the positive and negative. The positive on this stay was the home. It was lovely. Very clean, and the host took care of all needed items to help make your stay comfortable. That being said, yes we would recommend the cabin. Two things that were disappointing: we thought there was easy water access to the river for canoeing and swimming at the cabin. Not sure where the pictures of the canoes were taken with the sloping, easy access, beach like area, but it is not the back yard of the cabin. The backyard has a pretty view of the river, but is on a hillside that you can’t access the water. The walk, or drive to the canoes wasn’t extreme, but the area where the canoes were kept was a disappointment. We chose not to canoe due to how awkward, deep, and narrow the area was in getting canoes into the water. Then getting bodies into the canoes in the deeper water. The adults in two different groups from other local cabin groups were like” nope, not happening.”
So fishing, swimming, and canoeing at the cabin were all out. So, this meant we had to search out where these activities could be done. We found places around Broken Bow, but not knowing area and only having 3 days, they weren’t the best. Big disappointment in use of our time. The hiking in the area was enjoyable. The second thing that disappointed was the amount of chlorine in the hot tub was way too much.
