'We had a room on the 8th floor which was spacious and clean. We did have some airco noise and weird knocking noise from the elevator shaft (we think) which was annoying at night. Pool was nice and location was good for watersports and running. Restaurant has great staff but menu is limited. The gym was crowded in the morning but really quiet in afternoon.'

'We have loved Viejas for a long time, and it is still one of the best hotels around San Diego. The rooms are very nice; we love to go bowling and the restaurants are great. We really enjoyed the pool, very well kept. We had a wonderful time as always.'

'I stayed there for 4 days after staying 4 days in La Jolla Shores Hotel, and I strongly recommend staying in the Shores Hotel instead (if there is a choice). The food was much better in the hotel (so I ended up going there for food most of the days). But, a much more annoying thing is that the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is primarily a private club, and unless you are a "member" you will be treated like a second class citizen, and also be reminded of that a few times per day.
