From the start, the owner Selena, was amazing to work with. She was so prompt with responding to my emails and questions and she was very welcoming. The apartment had everything we needed and then some. I had inquired about what kind of coffee pot system the place had because many times I have rented a condo or home with a drip coffee maker and there were no filters supplied and I would have to run out on the first morning and shop for filters. Selena informed me that she had a Keurig with everything needed for it, but that she could get a drip coffee maker if needed. Since she said she had everything for the Keurig, I left it at that and didn't request anything else. To my surprise, when I got there, not only had she added a drip coffee pot, but also provided the filters and coffee for it! It was such a nice touch. That's not all that she provided. Many times before when I have rented places, I have had to purchase a lot of things you would think would be included in a rental. She thought of it all! I had a hairdryer, salt and pepper, creamers, sugar, dish soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and bottled water.
There were beach towels, ironing board and iron, cooler and picnic basket. Even though this was the smallest place we've rented, it had more to offer than almost every other place we've rented in the past. The driveway was a little tight for turning around a full sized truck, but you can pull in and unload your luggage and there is plenty of room to park on the street. The apartment is just blocks away from downtown Dunedin, where you will find many eclectic shops and eateries, a marina, a biking trail and the spring training stadium of the Toronto Blue Jays. We had a great brunch at Kelly's and an amazing authentic Mexican dinner at Casa Tina's along with an acrobatic show during dinner. Honeymoon Island Beach is only about 15 minutes down the road. We swam at the springs at Weeki Wachee only an hour and 20 minutes away. The City of Dunedin Pipe Band who became world champions this year had a concert in the park in downtown Dunedin while we were there too. Make sure to take a drive down Edgewater Drive and sneak a drive in down Victoria Drive too. It is beautiful. I will definitely be back.
