'We stayed two nights for a wedding near Alexandria. This house was very clean. Communication with the host was good. I like that each bed has its own Roku TV. The we forgot my daughter necklace and the host was willing to mail it to us. Overall, good stay.'

'This property is exactly as described in the listing. It was a great location. The property is nice and cozy. Communication with the owner was great! The only improvement could be the heat situation. The furnace was in the smaller bedroom and a small space heater was in the larger room. It led to one person being very warm and the others somewhat chilly. '

'The location was close enough to town for things like groceries and other shopping but far enough that it felt private and peaceful. Having to accommodate multiple families with plus ones, we needed something with enough rooms and space for everyone to be comfortable. We also live between 1-3 hours away so the more utensils, pots, pans, etc that were provided the better. 'Roomy cabin, super clean and quiet. Loved the 8 track player with tapes, it brought back fond memories. Well stocked kitchen and comfy beds. Canoes kayaks and life vests available to use. Sadly it rained so we will have to come back to give those a try.'

'The Lakeside Retreat is great! Cleanliness is my highest priority and it was clean! It had everything we needed and was located on such a sweet spot. The pictures do not due is justice as the space is very functional and conducive for gathering and doing different activities. We would definitely return.'

'This property is amazing. We love the historical homes and pretended we lived in that era. The beds were comfy ,cozy and we all slept great. Easy check-in and check out is a breeze. We thought 10am was a bit early as at previous properties it was always 11am. Everything was absolutely wonderful for our stay. I would like to stay over Christmas just to see the house decorated. '

'This property was exactly as advertised. The lake is just a beautiful as the cottage. There is to a of room, good fishing from the dock and we enjoyed spending time gathered around a fire, watching lions on the lake and playing cards inside at night. Highly recommend!'

'The property was beautiful, nice big back yard where we were able to play whiffle ball, the kids had a blast on the Lilly pad and slide. We were wishing there was a firepit as we were ready to do smores but that would not be a deal breaker if we were going to stay here again, the place is really nice! The communication was excellent!'

'Property is well suited for a large group gathering. It was very comfortable, but had some tired furniture, ie ripped covers on the couches. However, having young children staying there, it made it also more relaxing that we weren't going to ruin anything. Granted, the weekend that we stayed was hot and humid...the home was quite hot and humid on the inside. Yes, there are 3 working air conditioners (two window units and one wall unit) in the house, but could not come close to keeping the...

'Our family loved our stay! We made use of the heated garage for meals and games. There were many conversation areas. The game area in the basement was perfect for the younger ones in the group. The beds were very comfortable. It was great to have four main ones and an overflow with many bunks. 4 bathrooms, 2 up, 2 down was an amazing plus. We even made use of the whirlpool in the master bath.The kitchen/dining layout was great for our size family.Thanks for a perfect getaway in Starbuck!'
