'The house was perfect for our girls weekend and having the extra sleeping space and bathroom upstairs worked great. The location was great and centrally located. The only suggestion we had was to maybe add wine glasses to the supplies and a broom or small vacuum. Thank you!'

'Cute place that met our needs for a long weekend in Alexandria. There were three ladies sharing this house and worked perfect having 3 beds. Cheaper than a hotel and plenty more space to spread out. Kitchen had all the essentials we needed. We had a snow/ice storm and owner was prompt in shoveling as well, appreciate it! '

'We loved our visit! A group of college friends gathered for the weekend. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the living room area with couches and room to gather. We loved being near the lake. Robin was extremely helpful, kind, and quick with communication. Thank you!!!'

'6 women spent a restful and challenging weekend together in this beautiful home. Beds are comfortable. Home is beautiful and cozy. Our chef commented that this was the most comfortable kitchen she has ever worked in. For an old house, it was remarkably quiet and not drafty! May or may not be haunted…depends on who you ask. ;). Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!'

'The Lakeside Retreat is great! Cleanliness is my highest priority and it was clean! It had everything we needed and was located on such a sweet spot. The pictures do not due is justice as the space is very functional and conducive for gathering and doing different activities. We would definitely return.'

'Our 1st annual "Girls gone Wild" weekend. The group consisted of Mother, daughters & daughter-in-laws. We had a blast, visiting and playing games. The facility is great and with so much room. Loved it!!! So well supplied too. '

Located in an easy to access area within a couple of miles of restaurants, groceries, gas, and shopping. We enjoyed our stay and only wish it had been summer so that we could have enjoyed the lake. Wonderful place to stay. We hope to come back in the future.'

'Great spot for a girls weekend! Clean and spacious, with plenty of space to lounge both inside and outside. We loved kayaking on the lake in late fall. Only downside was the water pressure was a little low. Otherwise we had a great time!'

Nothing was said when we made our reservation and paid it in full. I wasn't told about it until we were actually there. Its was disappointing.'

'Our family loved our stay! We made use of the heated garage for meals and games. There were many conversation areas. The game area in the basement was perfect for the younger ones in the group. The beds were very comfortable. It was great to have four main ones and an overflow with many bunks. 4 bathrooms, 2 up, 2 down was an amazing plus. We even made use of the whirlpool in the master bath.The kitchen/dining layout was great for our size family.Thanks for a perfect getaway in Starbuck!'
