'We had 3 couples staying for a trip to the area to dine at 3 Blacksmiths. The house was HUGE and fully stocked with everything you could need. The caretakers answered all of our questions and were very helpful during our stay. We enjoyed the ping pong table, fire pits and hot tub. We are already discussing booking another trip with our kids!'

'My husband and I absolutely loved this little place 😊 It is super close to just about anything you need, and plenty of activities in the area with beautiful views. The barn is super cute, clean and comfortable. The fact that we could bring our American Bully with us was a huge bonus. It was his first trip, and he definitely had as much fun as we did 💜 The property owners are also extremely nice and responsive to messages. We would absolutely stay here again. '

'Hubby and I were in town for a wedding with our 21 year old son. We were walking distance from some great local stops and just a short drive from anything we needed and plenty to do. Next trip we’d like to take advantage of hiking options we didn’t have time for this trip. Sooooo much better than a hotel, this place is loaded with character and comfort touches a plenty and provided everyone a nice balance of privacy and togetherness! Great stay!'

'I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. Exchanged it with one from another bedroom. TV remote controls need new batteries. Otherwise, very nice place.'

'Lovely home and perfect for our family. Great communication with the owner. Our only disappointment was the fireplace was not working and David tried to get someone out to fix it but it was a Saturday and no one was available. We appreciated that he tried! Loved that it was dog friendly!! '

'We were in Luray for a family wedding. This is a beautiful home in a quiet and serene neighborhood yet close to downtown. Nicely decorated, clean and updated. Plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful outdoor space. Enjoyed watching the cows in the pasture across the road as we sipped on our morning coffee on the front porch. Wish we could have stayed longer! 'My wife and I were in need of some time away from our work. This property was perfect. A quiet retreat in the woods away from the Shenandoah National Park crowds. The house was cozy and warm. The wildlife was plentiful and active. We enjoyed walks around the property, hikes up the hill, and drives around the local area. We made it over to DuCard Vineyard for some music and wine which was great. We did head up to Skyland and Big Meadows, but the crowds at all the sights were too much. We did...

'The property was perfect for our large group and the hosts at Castleton Meadows were extremely kind, helpful and communicative. Would definitely return!!!'

'Overall a nice cottage and cute area. It wasn’t totally clear when booking this is within the RV campsite but it was nice to have the shared amenities. The beds were a bit stiff and there were no blankets in the house which wasn’t ideal with the chilly weather. It was good for a quick getaway and a gorgeous area right outside the mountains. '
