'The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.'

The back lawn is huge and it was delightful to sit im the sitting room with the doors open in the early morning listening to the birds. The owners have the friendliest cat we have ever met. Brilliant location for accessing Durham.'
