'The place was reasonably clean. Nobody bothered me. The bed was comfortable. There was no negative smell. I did not see any signs of insect or rodent infestation. The fridge and heating/ac unit worked well.The only reason I wouldn't stay there again is because it's further from the park than I realized.Otherwise, for the money, I could not ask for more.'

'It is everything I read in previous reviews and more. Ross was the most amazing host. We saw deer, chipmunks, jackrabbits and a coyote at the property. We climbed the local mountain out back every morning and drank in the sunset every evening. High-clearance vehicle is a must to get up the trail to the cabin but easily manageable in our front-wheel drive SUV. I don't want to spoil any more. If you are going to spend some time in and around Big Bend and don't want to slum it out in Terlingua...

'The cabin was perfect. Close to town but far enough away to feel like you were out in the middle of nowhere. Cabin was clean and stocked with everything one would need. Had water dripping that enticed birds to come to drink. Could sit in screened in porch to watch the birds. The only thing that would have made it better is if they had a king size bed in the cabin. 'The cabin is beautiful, modern with great views. We really enjoyed the cabin. I really hate to leave any type of a bad review for this place but I think you should know… We used the cabin as our base to go back and forth to Big Bend National Park and Terlingua. About a 45 minute drive total from the cabin. 30 minutes of the drive is off Hwy 118 to the cabin with 3 miles of it being an unpaved road that was like driving on a wash board, not very pleasant. So coming and going...
