Deze vier slaapkamers drie badkamers huis beschikt over twee ruime familiekamers elk met een eigen keuken. Andere voorzieningen zijn een terras op elke verdieping. De stapelbedkamer met maritiem thema is perfect voor de kinderen, terwijl de master suite beschikt over een aparte douche en bubbelbad. Maar het beste deel over Hogan's Retreat is de locatie. Een steenworp afstand van het strand of supermarkt en op loopafstand van de Tybee Island Social Club, Sting Ray's en de toeristische attracties en het nachtleven op de pier maakt dit de ideale locatie om te ontspannen. En wees niet verlegen over het brengen van je harige vrienden. We zijn blij met hen en ons volledig omheind achtertuin en hond deuren dit zo veel van een vakantie te maken voor de honden als het is voor u.

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay. This was our second time and liked some of the updates. House had almost everything we needed, maybe a few more spoons. Pool added so much to the trip. One of my grands actually learned to put his face in the water and dove on down. It was great Plenty of beach towels and beach toys. Would definitely recommend. Close to everything

2024 Family Beach Trip
The House was a little dated, but that's understandable when its pet Friendly. The location was AMAZING! We were so close to the beach. The pool was perfect. We were in it every day. We also rented the golf cart with the house, which was nice to cruise around the Island. The house had all the amenities we needed. We did not need to use the room on the bottom floor, although we did open it to use the bathroom while in the pool. It did have a musty smell to it. Getting in touch with the property managers was easy and quick. All in all, this house was great for our family. We will definitely be back.

Proximity to the beach was fantastic! Spacious upper floor for our group of 9 was great for gathering and socializing. Plenty of bathroom and beach towels. Plastic dining chairs were unstable and most were missing one screw. Carried up wooden chairs from middle floor to use instead. There were a few practical kitchen things missing: no pot holders and only one kitchen towel so we used bathroom handtowels; kitchen lacked measuring spoons and cups which was difficult because we were there over Thanksgiving. Good stay, but a few simple improvements that would have made it even better.

Amazing Location
We loved our stay at the property. You are a few steps to the 11th street beach entrance which makes getting to the beach so easy. This is also one of my favorite streets on Tybee; you’re far enough from the pier for it to feel relaxed but close enough to walk places. I was also very surprised by the size of the pool. In the pictures it appears tiny but we we’re able to comfortably fit 10 people in the pool. We probably enjoyed the beach and pool equally on the trip. The beds were very comfortable and I thought the kids bunk bed room was very cute. There’s some wear and tear on the property which should be addressed( floors need redoing and bathrooms could use some updating; lounger needed to be fixed). The upstairs has been updated and had a great sized table for us to enjoy dinner together. We loved have 2 spaces for the adults and the kids to hang out in. I’d definitely recommend this spot for groups (we had 6 kids and 6 adults). I also appreciate the communication throughout the trip - the management company was responsive and very helpful. Thank you for making this a wonderful vacation for our family and friends!

Beautiful, comfortable house
I loved this property. The proximity to the beach made a huge difference in how often we went down there, and it was really nice to swim and cool off in the pool. It was also convenient to the IGA and Tybrisa St. It was very roomy and clean. My only suggestions would be some nightlights and smoke detectors. But we very much enjoyed our stay. Hope to be back.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The location is perfect and the company was very attentive! We had everything we needed and lots of beach supplies were available for use! The only issue was parking and our inability to use the garage initially because the golf cart vehicle blocked the entrance. They moved it promptly and promised to cover any associated tickets because of having to park off property.

Great stay on a very HOT week!
We had a very good experience staying at Hogan's Retreat. The house was very spacious and perfect for our family. We were just a short walk to the beach and the pool was great for the kids. There were a few things that need some attention like a broken drawer in the master bath, broken lounges by the pool and light switches that need labeled, but overall it was great. I realize they can't put a lot of detail in the description so I'll put some things here to help people know what to pack. The coffee maker is drip, not keurig, bring hot pads, there is one 9x13 and a few cookie sheets, there are nice pans, but no stock pot, no small spoons, which was only a problem for our 3 yr old. Also the golf cart is parked so that you can't use the garage for parking. We asked that it be moved and never heard back. It really didn't end up being a problem, but if you have more than 3 cars, it would be. All in all this was one of the best equipped VBRO's that we have stayed at. Thanks so much!

Annual family vacation was great! We loved the house and the location. The house was a little dated, but plenty big and very clean! We had some problems with a breaker tripping the first day, and the property management company responded immediately and sent someone right over!

Ideal location with plenty of parking. House is a perfect multi-generational set up with two distinct living areas. Pool is a big hit. Property management group was great to work with. Extremely responsive and pleasant!! We have already rented it again for next year. A couple of notes: house does not provide a blender. Also the stairs can become quite steep for older people.

Disappointing at this price point
Pros: Location great. Very close to restaurants, beach, and anywhere you want to go walking. The pool is very nice and we enjoyed it, except sadly on the last day, the pool company treated with chemicals rendering it useless until after 7:00pm. Cons: Basement/ detached room issues-not advertised well. Puddle in front of garage bedroom the entirety of our stay. Breaker tripped multiple times over the course of the week. There was no reason for this to have happened so many times other than that room is pulling too much power for that breaker. Lighting was poor (no light over the sink). Vent fan/light in bathroom did not work. Lacking furniture/anywhere to hang clothing. Dehumidifier was very noisy with an alarm that sounded when full, waking us up in the middle of the night multiple times. Window a/c unit in the only window of that bedroom made it very dark. Overhead light full of dead bugs. Pool issues: Broken pool lounger and bench. Main part of house: In general, the entire house was dated and run down, including floors, most furniture, cabinetry missing knobs or damaged, light bulbs out, some outlets didn’t work, double oven didn’t work, noisy ceiling fans, and poor lighting. Reported several things on day 2 only to get a “thank you for bringing to our attention.” Would not stay here again at this price.

The posting did not disclose that the 5th bedroom and 4th bathroom were detached from the rest of the house and you had to go outside. Very inconvenient. Also no mention was given that the double oven did not work and the property manager was aware. The lighting in the master bathroom was poor with one light out completely. Two pieces of the outside furniture were broken causing 2 of our party to fall backwards when they sat in one of them.

Location was good. Close to the beach and to the IGA food store. Nice, small plunge pool. Those are the best things about this place. However definite condition issues, and management responsiveness was slow, especially at this price point. Top floor master toilet backed up on first use, would not flush, floating feces. All within an hour of arrival. Horrendous smell throughout, making top floor unusable and no plumber until day 3. Plumber left without cleaning up the mess, leaving it to us. Not how I wanted to spend the first half of my family vacation. Faucet on 1st floor rear bath needs replacement, it sprays water everywhere. Various broken, stained and shabby items throughout. Property needs a major freshen up, even by beach house standards. Other reviews are correct, the downstairs bedroom is very musty smelling. It has a bathroom, so it is convenient to the pool. It is located in the garage. Heavy rains caused a large puddle in the garage, which had to be waded through to access that bedroom. Also, be aware of the amount and steepness of the stairs. That's not on the property owner, I should have looked at the photos more closely. But there is a long flight up from ground level to the front door, then another long flight up to the top floor common area and master. Just something to be aware of, if you get short of breath or have bad joints.

Delightful house very close to the beach
This is a lovely house, very clean, great layout for large groups. Plenty of comfortable seating. The big kitchen and large family room are on the top floor so there are a lot of steps. I have bad knees so that was a bit of an inconvenience but it wasn’t an issue for any of the others. The pool got a lot of use. Plenty of parking. No golf carts allowed on the street. If you rent one you have to park it a good distance from the house. I’d definitely go back.

The rooms are spacious and had plenty of room for cooking Christmas dinner. It was nice to be able to spread out and have space. The basement room was a little chili and is separate from the rest of the house but it gave my parents privacy.

Great house and location, but one bedroom is really a strange annex that we didn't want to use
This is a wonderful house, steps from the beach on a quiet dead-end road, close to the local grocery shop (the IGA), with parking for at least 4 cars. However, the automatic garage opener was not working, so we only had 3 spaces on the drive. This was enough for us, though. We were three families (6 adults, 6 kids). There is one big master bedroom on the top (2nd floor) where the main kitchen and living room is located, as well as a balcony from where you can see the sea and sunrise / partial sunset. The first floor has two bedrooms with double beds, one kids betdroom with two double beds (sleep 2 each) and a fold out futon bed (which didn't have linen), two bathrooms, a laundry and a small sitting area that the kids used. The upper bunkbeds don't have safety rails, so really young kids can't use them. The pool is on the ground floor with a separate gate that is hard for kids to open (good). It's lovely - just right for kids after a hot day at the beach. Good temperature when the heat finally warmed it up on day 2. Lots of beach toys, chairs and carts to move them back and forth to the beach. Bring your own sun shade for the beach, though. Sadly, the bikes were broken (not just flat tires - I did bring a pump myself, but they were too far gone). Not a huge deal, but again, if you advertise bikes, make sure they aren't total write-offs. On the whole though, this was a fantastic house. We loved our week there. The only negative thing I'd say about the place is that they advertise one of the rooms as being on the ground floor with private pool access. This is technically true, but it has no access to the rest of the house and seems to be a shed at the back of the under-house flood space that is dark and dank (with a dehumidifier running all the time). I felt this was somewhat misleading. We did not use this room as it would have meant one couple would have to be in a separate apartment cut off from the rest of us, and from their kids, and was definitely the *short straw*. Instead, all four from one family slept in top floor room, which had a futon. It wasn't ideal, but was better than being separated - we were there to be together. There were no spare sheets for the futon and when I rang the management company, they said they do not use the futon as a bed. I managed to persuade them to provide bedding for it in the end, though. The management company were very responsive but not overbearing. Very nice balance.

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot
The house was perfect for families with children. The pool was a great addition to the off season visit. It was heated well and we were able to enjoy even with temperatures in the 50’s! The location is very close to the beach and a very short walk to the store. We look forward to coming again in the future.

A Short, Sandy, Sunny, Sweet Trip to Savannah!
Hogan's Retreat was just what the doctor ordered for a little R&R, Off-Season in the South. A hop, skip and a jump to the Dunes Walkway leading to the sandy beaches of Tybee Island, this home offered our Family everything we need to enjoy our extended weekend visit. Three floors of living and sleeping space allowed us all to be together or apart if desired. The heated pool was the cherry on top of our weekend Sundae. A short 20 minute ride had us in the heart of Old Savannah, enjoying the charm and appeal of the Riverwalk area with its shops and restaurants aplenty. We hope to return In-season and get to enjoy the full benefits of Tybee Island and its beautiful beaches.

Relaxing during July 4th
Only hick-up with the door code but a simple call got that sorted right away. The place is in an AMAZING location to the beach, had plenty of parking, included lots of toys for the kids, the heated pool was as lovely as it sounds. Some of the fixings around the house need a little TLC or replacement but other than that it was absolutely epic to be so close the beach with only a short ~100ft walk door to water. Cant wait to go back to the beach!
