'The Applestore is lovely located and central for daytrips to Wales, Hereford and lovely towns as Coleford and Kington. We had great diners at the Old Court Hotel and the Fforest Inn, both very good and dog friendly. We would have loved to meet the owners of the Applestore and compliment them on the cottage. We had a lovely sunny week!'

'It's a cosy cottage build in 1892. Don't expect a modern look , it's old with a modern touch. We stayed a fortnight here and it was a pretty homecoming base. Jane is a wonderful host and can't do enough for you. '

'Orchard Cottage is an amazing place to stay. It is situated on the slope of a hill, overlooking the valley of the Severn. The surroundings are an oasis of peace and quiet. The house itself is lovely, with every amenity you could wish for. Very well suited for families or the somewhat larger groups.'

'This is a typical english country side cosy house, rural and fully equipped for a stay of a couple of days. Pub very close by. Cirencester on a 10 min drive by car with shops and restaurants. Garden access to a beautiful garden (in summer). Parking space in front of the house. The bath room tends to be too small for 4 adults. Dogs are welcome. To recommend.'

'This cottage was beautifully appointed and great for ease of access to Cheltenham. Note that it is on a main road, so there is some traffic noise. The bedrooms were not made for tall people due to the ceiling angle, but I didn’t have any issues at 5’2 :).'

'The property is set in wonderful grounds and is well furnished. We had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. The fire in the lounge was a lovely focal point throughout the time we were there and we would love to return in summer when we could use the pool. Unfortunately Vrbo’s computer system did not appear to communicate with the property agent’s which led to various problems, including the property manager not knowing that we had paid the deposit. A phone call with the property agent easily...

'Lovely big house and setting for the family, just a couple of things which would have made it 5* could do with a few more chairs in the living room especially if you have 6 adults or teenagers with you. The floorboards upstairs were a little noisy. No electric kettle or toaster. Overall the house was clean and had most things we needed for our family holiday. '

'Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.'

'We had a sunny week in this lovely quiet place, visiting villages and towns in the area. We loved the numerous walks in the area too, and found the local map and local walks books very useful. We had delicious meals at nearby pubs as well as using the barbeque at the property. The property was very comfortable and well equipped. We were sad to leave when our week was up.'

'One of the quietest places we have stayed. All worked as described. 8 or 9 minutes walk from town centre. We only used two bedrooms, but would strongly recommend E.g for a family with a granny.'

'Cottage is ideally placed for exploring the Cotswolds, in a very quiet village. It was very comfortable and well equipped kitchen, a few cobwebs, but overall cleanliness was good. The garden was enclosed and great for the dog, the grass was very long, so made it a bit more difficult to clean up after him (would have been perfect if grass was shorter). '

"Vriendelijk personeel, er werd echter niet mee gelopen om de kamers te wijzen. We hadden twee kamers, duidelijk verschil. Eén kamer was een stuk groter, had een tafeltje en een stoel en een grotere wastafel. Die kamer was op de rustige kant. De andere kamer was krapper en zat aan een drukke weg. Zeer goede bedden. Wel wat gehorig, vloer kraakt ook op meerdere plekken. Meerdere verdiepingen, echter geen lift."

Prima hotel

"Fijne ruime kamer met goed bed. Ondanks dat we aan de wegkant sliepen was het erg rustig. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze hond mag niet in het restaurant, maar we konden ontbijten en dineren in de lounge. Het ontbijt en het restaurant zijn van prima kwaliteit. Aan de wifi bereikbaarheid werd hart gewerkt terwijl wij er waren 😊."

Prima hotel, lost problemen goed op.

"Als onderdeel van een rondreis verbleven in het hotel. Eerste indruk is dat het wel een degelijk hotel is, maar wellicht toe aan een beetje TLC. De kamers zijn gehorig. Tijdens ons verblijf was het erg warm, omdat - schijnbaar wat anders dan met NL - de meeste hotels geen airconditioning hebben, was ook deze kamer erg warm. Omdat je niet echt kan luchten kregen we een ventilator van de receptie. Tijdens ons verblijf was er een groep, de eerste nacht was het erg lawaaiig, we hebben dit kenbaar gemaakt en het hotel heeft alles keurig opgepakt en opgelost. Zelfde voor de warmte. Keurig opgelost allemaal. Zwembad is prima! Sauna goed heet en een squash en goede gym. Parkeren is 5 pond per dag. Let op! Dit gaat via een externe partner. "
