'This lovely little cottage on the piney river was the perfect place to celebrate 35 years of marriage. The setting was beautiful and the accommodations spacious yet intimate. The cottage demonstrates an obvious history of love and good memories. We fished the section of river assigned and got skunked. 'My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Nonny Cottage. It was so peaceful to sit on the porch each morning and enjoy coffee while watching the deer! We took full advantage of the property's proximity to several trailheads. We love Crabtree Falls and even ventured to the Natural Bridge in Lexington. It was so nice to enjoy such a peaceful escape. The cottage was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and loved being able to sleep with the windows open! Thank you fo a beautiful stay....

'We felt like it was just the right amount privacy with a country vibe yet very close to Staunton. Everything was clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We also appreciated that countertops were clear so there was plenty of room for our stuff. The bed was very comfortable. We would highly recommend this place for couples.'

'This is the 5th year I’ve met my son and his family at Doug and Erin’s little bit of heaven on earth. We started with two little boys and there are now 4 who have come to absolutely love “Nannie’s” farm- LOL. There’s so much to keep all the boys busy( ages 10 - 3) . The house is perfect- everything you could need is there. Erin is so helpful. I 100% encourage making this your destination.!'

'I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Creamery studio at Hearthstone retreat. The grounds were beautiful peaceful and the owner was friendly and responsive. I would absolutely stay again!'

'We had a wonderful stay here. The host was great to us in making our stay go smooth with out any problems. The area was beautiful and the nice large fenced in yard was great for our dogs to explore. The whole property was VERY well maintained inside and out, comfortable accommodations and supplied with everything we needed to feel home away from home. We wouldn't hesitate to book again anytime of year!'

'We had a great time at the cottage. It is located conveniently to Skyline Drive. We were able to pick some chestnuts at a Virginia Chestnut farm. Paulie's Pig Out just down the road had tasty BBQ. '

great road hotel, will stay again.

"Good location for travelling, even close enough to drive downtown Staunton. Hotel grounds very neat and good parking, first impression inside very clean and open and very friendly staff. Room was spacious and quite clean, bathroom needs some professional plumber do the caulking and removal of mold, though generally clean. Breakfast was quite varied, with as well choices for a healthy breakfast, though also very sugar loaded choices. Service at breakfast was perfect, the ladies kept all super clean and tidy!! Environmentally the breakfast was horrible, only Styrofoam, even melting plates under my toasted bagel, coffee cups melting, cutlery just unusable - please change to paper (recyclables)!? didn't use the gym or pool, but gym looked light and spacious. would stay again!"
