'Shower drain not draining. HVAC system needs maintenance per msg. Part of shade in small bathroom missing. Pillows very minimal. Explanations on the heat zones for future guests would be good idea. Enjoyed all the Rooms. '

'Great location - quiet, peaceful, safe. The accommodations looked exactly as pictured online. The bed was the comfiest I’ve ever stayed in and we’ve been using VRBO for years. Perfect for a couple and had everything we needed.'

It is centrally located to most attractions in and around DC as long as you have a car or make use of bus or metro.Nice backyard porch although the view from it could use some TLC. 'My kids and I fell in love with Riverview Retreat. I wanted a place to spend Thanksgiving with my daughter as she's in Baltimore for the next two years (we're in TX). I wanted something out of the city and Anapolis rentals were sold out. I expanded my search, found Riverview Retreat, and am so glad I did. 'I chose this property based on the "Rooms & Beds" large type in the listing, since we were bringing 4 grandchildren ages 10-16 who don't like to sleep with each other. Two days before we were to arrive, I reviewed the entire listing, and opened up the small "see more" at the bottom of the listing, only to find that the bed listing there was totally different for 2 of the 4 bedrooms. 'The property is 3 levels with spiral staircases. 1) Downstairs "livingroom" area with sofas and TV. Washer/dryer also located there. We didn't spend much time in this room since there was no bathroom on that level 2) Second floor has the queen bed (comfy), kitchen and bathroom. This is where we spent 95% of our time. 'I love the Dupont Circle Hotel, and this is the only place I stay while in DC. Their furniture on my latest stay was looking a little worse for wear, but I think a small spruce up will bring it back to its former glory. Maybe update the carpet and the furniture facings. But the amenities, restaurants, and room service are too notch. The street facing rooms can get a bit noisy. '

"An overpriced three star minus hotel. The elevator sign still mentions a restaurant and bar, but those were closed years ago. The "clubroom" is just an empty space with a few tables and chairs. The lobby is a corridor from the elevators to the door, where you can check yourself in on a machine on the wall. The staff is friendly though and the location is central."
