'Although the property is rural its a perfect base to get to lots of places. If you drive then everything you need is virtually on the doorstep! The property is very close to grocery and retail shops with Chester and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet a short drive away. Gary is the perfect host and we loved the personal "meet & greet". 'The cottage was very cosy perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Close to the seafront and the expressway we had good days out to Anglesey, Bangor and Llandudno. We would love to go again next summer!'

'The cottage is situated on a wonderful location. Hidden in the green valley. It's a peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that the cottage is in a bad state. The windows and doors do not open. They are rotten in some places or sealed with tape. Only the front door works well. The supply of cold water is very low. There is not enough water for one person to shower. Let alone four! Due to the low water pressure, the washing machine does not work either. We knew that it would be a...

'Beautiful accommodation, very nice owners, perfect location'

'It was lovely and out of the way. Very nice room and Ensuite. Only down points were very hard bed and pillows and the shower mechanism was slightly broken so difficulty in regulating temperature, but water pressure was great. Overall, we would be happy to return. '

'We stayed here for 14 days. Ann is a wonderful host. Takes care of everything. House is well equipped. Hot tub was warm when we arrived! It takes some hours to heat it up when its cold. The bed is a little small for 2 long persons. Dog was very welcome! '

'The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! '

'It is an amazing property, I went with my family as I booked reindeer lodge and made a weekend of the trip and couldn’t fault it at all. The owner got tea, coffee and milk in for us for when we arrived and there was a football net and footballs for the kids, and the garden was massive and secure. I will also add the kids loved waking up and seeing the sheep in the field next door in the morning.'

'We had such a special weekend staying at Gwynant cottage, it was absolutely gorgeous inside and a lovely cosy setting for our young family. The personal touches, including a welcome package with drinks and snacks / milk etc was very appreciated after a long car journey with the children and it was excellent to have plenty of towels and even robes provided. The cottage had everything we needed and was very well equipped for cooking too, it feels like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come...

'Lovely, cosy welcoming cottage. So clean and well equipped - even things you don’t even know you’ll need are provided - all very well thought out. Fabulous location - you can easily drive places and there’s a nice walk down to the beach and local pub. We have stayed at Colby Cottage three times now and I would recommend it to anyone. '
