The Tower hotel is well situated for traveling around Waterford. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well furnished.
The breakfasts are great and the waitress serving them went out of her way to be pleasant and helpful.
Unfortunately, the weekend that we were there, there were weddings on both evenings.
A number of the guests arrived on the first floor and shouted and banged doors until after 5:00 am making sleep impossible for us. Requests to be quiet were ignored and they lounged about, sitting on the floor and on the table on the first floor. Although we did not call reception, we were surprised that no hotel staff either heard or intervened.
We asked reception to try to move us, but they were unhelpful.
I'd like to say that I would stay there again, but if outside guests are welcome to wander around the corridors, making a great deal of noise, I'd have to reconsider.
We asked for a porter to help us carry our bags - he was sweeping at the time - we were told that when he was done, he would help. We did it ourselves. Easier than having someone do us a favor.
