'Ik was er tijdens de wintermaanden, wat voor zorgde dat we met 2 het hostel voor ons alleen hadden. Leuk en jammer tegelijk. Gezien het net fijn is om tips en ervaringen te delen. Gezien de 'conciërge' een aparte kamer heeft, toch een drempel om hem vragen te stellen (naar mijn mening)'

'Good hostel, it has everything that you need. Nice staff and they keep it clean. You can leave your luggage before check in. Everything is within walking distance from the hostel. Easy to enter with codes. Outlet by the bed. You can store things under the bed just not with a lock. They do have small safes for valuables that you can use. This hostel covers the first 2 floors, the other floors belong to another hostel.'

'Good location, although not near the reception. It has views on Kirkjufell, and is close to the supermarket and pizzeria. On top of this affordable with a private bathroom and clean. Room is small though, the double bed also, about 140cm wide. Our room also had a very squeeky bed. The kitchen area is huge and clean, enough place to cook with enough seating and a tv. No tv on the rooms by the way. All in all a good price to quality ratio.'

'The outside of the building looks terrible. Abandonbed. I thought my husband was joking when he said that was it. But the inside was completely redone and surprisingly modern and clean. Communication was terrible, but thank goodness the couple who cleans was there and they were a huge help, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get our access code. '

'A few days before my arrival I was redirected to another place named Falkinn Guesthouse (it is not listed om Expedia but on Booking). The people of this guesthouse were nice, the location was similar, but the room was really small and not comfortable at all. Generally I do not llke when a hostel sends you to another hostel shortly before arrival. Reykjavik is full booked so you have no choice. I want to make my own choice on basis of information and images I find on the website of Expedia. 101...
