'We stayed for one night during our anniversary weekend and had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Our dinners were unique to the restaurant and really delicious. The staff were all wonderful and welcoming, the room was clean and had what we needed. The history of the hotel is neat so if you like staying in places with a little history to it, this is definitely the place. '

'We were a bit worried upon arrival: The neighborhood looks uninviting at night... But when we checked in we were glad to be welcomed by a very friendly staff. The room itself was the next pleasant surprise. An impressive large, spacious Room with sitting area. The staff recommended us some nice restaurants, close to the hotel. We ended up at the German restaurant " Max's" which was at walking distance of the hotel. I would recommend both the hotel and the restaurant!'

'Sam was an absolute pleasure to have as a host. Sam went above and beyond for me and my husband. Even as far as keeping an eye on the weather for us as we had a 7 hour drive back home. Keeps plenty of snacks and drinks stocked for guests. You always see Sam maintaining the property from sunrise to sunset. I would love to come back every time we visit the Pittsburgh area. Off street parking in the front for free as well as parking in the back. We did not get to experience the courtyard due to...

'A really cool, really unique place! The room was wonderful, very large, and the place felt nicely old school, but up to date in terms of amenities and comfort. Parking is free, it's close to many things, and the experience was great. One drawback was that they were hosting a wedding the next day, so some of the lobby was removed, and there were some pre-wedding revelers who took over the bar -- but that was a minor issue.'

'The breakfast was very good including the coffee (not everyone has good coffee). There is plenty of off street parking in a secure and well lit parking lot behind the building. There are actually 2 buildings and one appears to be all suites. I suggest you request a room in the suite building. You might also request a room towards the back of the building as street noise could be an issue for those who are light sleepers. Finally, if you plan to visit the wineries in the area plan to do so early...
