'First time spending the night(s) in Fredericksburg and found Hoffman Haus on Hotels.com. Looked great and booked it. Fell in love with it upon our arrival. Walked to downtown in minutes and only used the car to visit wineries along 290. Can't wait to stay there again soon!'

'Property was very clean. Managers answered questions quickly. This property had everything we could have possibly needed and more. Short drive from Main Street. Well worth the drive for a quiet place to wined down the evenings.'

'The cabins are absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. All the comforts of home, but they also elude an old world charm. Highly recommended for those who want to get away, but are actually only minutes away from great wine, shopping, and German cuisine, all nestled in the heart of the Texas hill country.'

'It was cold, damp and raining the night we arrived. We loved being able to watch the Christmas Light Parade from our windows. We loved the convenience of shopping, restaurants, and the Rockbox in close walking distance for this visit. Beautiful property.'

'Wonderful property in a great location right on Hye-Albert road. Stocked kitchen, comfy beds, awesome porch for sitting and visiting with friends. Would love to see a hot tub and a grill, but the lack of them does not detract from an excellent stay.'

'Not a fan, wouldn't stay again. Stayed in the Alden Haus, suite 2. Room was clean, bed was pretty comfortable, bring a fan or something for sound because it is eerily quite at night plus you can hear the people in the other room (we could even hear them use the bathroom). They need better curtains, if your light is on when it's dark congrats everyone can see clear into your room! Hot tub area needs to be cleaned, I get it's an closed in area outside but it wouldn't hurt to dust or sweep it out...

'We were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary, which had been 10 years since we stopped in Fredricksburg. We chose Erin's escape for the 2 of us. Check in was a little confusing. The units are named vs numbered. The address of the place is the same address for all of the units so when we arrived we spent 5 minutes trying to unlock the wrong door. 'This was one of the most unique stays! You have to stay here on your stay in Fredericksburg! The train car was decorated in authentic (or what appeared to be) furnishings, especially highlighting President Theodore Roosevelt. It was bigger than expected. The days and nights were very quiet and peaceful. It will help if you bring a small flashlight to use if walking back at night because it can be dark as you approach the train car. "I don’t mind older hotels and don’t need luxury or fancy stuff but I do like my room clean and that just wasn’t the case here. There were stains on the sheets, the floor was greasy and the bath tub was so worn down I really dreaded taking a shower. We decided not to stay and booked a room across the street; best decision for us. Lady at reception was very friendly though, there sure is potential to make this a nice place to stay but the current state just wasn’t ok for us.."
