'Overall a very good stay. As previous commentators have noted, the breakfast is noteworthy. With the owners and family living and active on site, this is a bed and breakfast and not a hotel. This may suit some guests but not all. The rooms are well designed with a nice balcony and plenty of hanging space, though some may dislike the open bathroom arrangement. This is purely subjective. 'Schönegg Chalet Hotel was a fantastic stay! Stunning Matterhorn views, cozy and spotless rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout. The spa and sauna area was a great bonus after a day out.'

'This hotel is located next to a school and currently there's a large construction site nextdoor. Unfortunately there's a lot of noice during the day, but it will be more quiet after 6pm. My single bed room was spacious and comfortable, overlooking the construction site. There's a roof terrace with views of the Matterhorn and the entire town of Zermatt. Hotel is a short walk from the train station and there's a small supermarket 5 minutes away. '
