'We enjoyed our two night stay, staff worked hard to please us. Rooms are comfortable and bathrooms nice. Well supplied with coffee, tea and milk etc complimentary sherry and rusks. 'This place looks like a nice hotel on the website, but is just a bed & breakfast! The owners live in England and leave the management to a lady who talks all the time, but is nowhere to find if you need her and is not even in the house between 10 p.m. and the next morning, so at night you are all alone in the middle of nowhere, 30 minutes from Stellenbosch. All you get is a mobile number you can call in case of emergency! This does not feel safe at all, despite the huge electrical fence around...

'Ticks the boxes - but does not go further. Has the basics and room had good self catering options - but no soap/gel in bathroom. Room wi-fi didn't work and restaurant timings were very eratic - closing early.'

'This countryside hotel has everything to make it a perfect holiday destination. The only thing that could be improved was the service. It was a bit messy. Another guest’s laundry bag was misplaced in our room, we reported a wasp nest on our balcony after check in, but it was still there the day we left. And the service at the dinner was not the best. 'Unique property for an overnight stay. Enjoyed the extra touches especially the hot water bottles for a cold African night. We were able to leave our bags safely prior to check in while we went to the Cape, then our room became available so we had an unexpected early check in which was above and beyond. Thank you!'

'A gorgeous spot. Fantastic beaches. Quick drive into town if you want. Excellent breakfast served each morning. Staff were lovely. Room spectacular space, great aesthetics, views, bed, sheets - all of it very special. Walk to a couple great restos. '

'Eigenlijk niks maar dan niks op aan te merken. Wij hadden executive suite. Grote kamer aparte zithoek, grote doucheruimte met douche en bad. EN met hometrainer. Maar last but not least eigen zwembad Ontbijt top. Diner helemaal goed Heerlijk professioneel personeel. '
