'Hotel El Dorado is a bit run down but honestly is a fine value for the money. Our beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. The breakfast was not great but had enough options for most. The hotel is on one of Concepcion’s central streets, but it wad not particularly lively during our weekend nights there. Oh, there is no air conditioning, but a window opens in each room, and that was good enough. '

'The cabana (loft) was better than expected. Everything was clean and it was well decorated. Also the kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need to prepare your own meals. The bed was comfortable and the upstairs space pretty spacious. WiFi worked well. They even prepare the fire for you so you only have to light it. The hot tub is only available in the evening and has a surcharge (20.000 when we were there) '

'Beautiful apartment. Good location with a great view. Communication wasn't great-- we received no email with instructions and had a little trouble getting in. Also, we were told we must pay the extra fee (in cash, in the room) even though we paid for the room online ahead of time with our US credit card.'

'Cabañas el Jardín is an absolute gem! The place was clean and comfortable. The owner, Claudia, is an absolute sweetheart. Very attentive and understanding. The communication was outstanding!! My dad felt very safe and comfortable there. I highly recommend Cabanas el Jardin if you are going to Valdivia. My dad fell at home and the daily breakfast was delicious !! '
