'The house was as described and Dauphin Island is unadorned and basic. Bring what you need and plan to just relax. No flashing lights but the people are very nice. No night life but a casual and restful place to spend a few days. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable.'

You can see the beach/ ocean from the top deck and you're so close you can hear the waves crashing. The beach was a short 5 min walk from the house, same for the Lagoon on the opposite side. 'A beautiful home. Loved that each bedroom had own bathroom. Powder room on main floor and outside on deck is so convenient. Great kitchen. My husband and I highly recommend. We had eight people in our party, ages 60 to 75. Elevator is definitely a plus. Would be great for family. The deck and pool is wonderful but needs some shade. Loved that it's one house, not split like some.'
