'The house had almost all the things one could ask for, certainly enough room for three people and a dog. The fence around the house is open at the front, for people with a dog a closable gate would be nice. No wifi, but that isn't a problem, who needs to be on the internet all day on a vacation? Mobile phone networks do the job just fine. I read the stories about the shower, and indeed it takes some effort to get wet. The neighbourhood was very nice, quiet and close to nature (deer, rabbits etc....

'This house was perfect for our group of nine friends on a winter climbing holiday. It was warm, very comfortable and was probably the best-equipped house I've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for our large (and hungry) group, including a very good coffee machine and plenty of large pans and roasting trays. 'If you are looking for peace, quiet and the experience of remote living in Scotland the White House is just perfect. Car necessary as it’s a 25 min drive to nearest town with facilities. We had hired cars which was just as well as there was no way our own cars could have coped with the terrain and the snowy weather. 'We had a wonderful time. The house has a beautiful, spacious garden with a great view. The house itself has lots of rooms and is a comfortable base for exploring Braemar and surroundings. Braemar is a nice village with several restaurants, a good butcher and other shops. Lots of walks start in the village. And if you like to see more, there is plenty to do nearby.'
