'Property was ok but in definite need of upgrades and care. The surrounding area is shady at best but could be beautiful if investments are made to buildings, elevators, and electrical systems. The electrical outlets in room didn’t work and were sooty. Overall, needs a redo. '

'The lagoon and pool were wonderful. Protected from waves but still saw tons of sea-life everyday. The parking was very far to walk everyday and the tram was not working all the time. Lots of walking. The restaurant Nui Italian was pretty good. The breakfast buffet was expensive so only did it once. Not many breakfast options on the property. The Kings and Queens Shops close by had good restaurants and some good shopping. The grocery store there also had great food. '

'Centrally located across of Hilo Bay and less than 10 minutes from the airport so that was convenient. The property is older yet you can see the many upgrades and updates they have done however, there are a lot of stairs to climb with no elevator options. Hallways are also narrow and you can feel the floors are not leveled evenly. Overall the customer service was beyond excellent and you can feel the Aloha spirit of the staff! '

'The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable but dated and the bathroom was old and very small. We were on the 2nd floor and the "ocean view" was minimal and most of our view was of the roof of the first floor. Parking cost per day was high and an extra add on we didn't really expect. Food options in the area are ok - but the restaurants in the hotel were lower quality of food and VERY expensive. '

'The place itself was great. Incredibly relaxing! Breakfast in the porch was so nice! Stay went totally smooth. I wouldn't consider it walkable due to lack of sidewalks. But for those people who are looking to relax and sightsee, I actually think the location is better than in the heart of downtown. It's both close to everything and also "out of the way". '

'We stayed in the Dolphin room; a convenient and clean room with outdoor shower. When showering in the evening you can see a sky with stars. Dragonfly ranch is an unique place with a nice, even spiritual, vibe. The staff is very welcoming. For the light sleepers; the frogs are really loud. One of us used earplugs which were provided. Breakfast was tasty. Overall we would recommend this lovely place.'

'Checkin very friendly, the park is super clean, parking easy. Apartment good with lot of extra's like dishwasher, washing machine, coffee etc. Close to the black beach. Although there is not much around the location (20-30min drive for a supermarket), thats not the worst. On the big island everything takes time to drive, so for a relaxing place, this hotel is recommended.'

'Perfecte ligging aan het strand waar allerlei voorzieningen zijn zoals snorkelen. Daarbij prima gelegenheid om bijv. schildpadden te zien; zelfs langs het strand. Zwembaden bij het hotel zijn ook prima. Gezellige bar met prima eten ook in het restaurant. Hotelpersoneel is supervriendelijk.'
