'The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge. 'The property is lovely, and the owner very resposive when light switch disintigrated. It was a shame the dishwasher program didnt work, the fire alarm fell from the ceiling and the tv was too old to take any form of digital equipment, nor did the dvd function work. Otherwise the cottage is lovely in a pretty spot The foul weather made tv more important I guess. It shortened our stay by half. 'You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog. 'De cottage is ruim, sfeervol ingericht en van alles voorzien. Er is geen WiFi of bereik dus alle gelegenheid om tot rust te komen in een prachtige omgeving. Mooie wandelingen gemaakt en veel gelezen. Er liggen overigens ook veel dvd’s in het huisje. Bij de gastheer/gastvrouw kun je terecht voor alle vragen en tips. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad.'

'Had a brilliant time staying in this lovely property. Everything was there that was needed for our stay along with a lovely welcome basket when we arrived. It is very peaceful and still missing the great views of the Loch and countryside whilst sitting on the deck. We also did the trail biking during our stay which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
