'The host Allen was great! He stayed in communication with us and even offered to turn on the heater for us because we weren’t expected to get in until about 10pm. When we arrived the thermostat was showing that it was heating but the vents were blowing cold air and the inside temp read 61. I’ve always felt this area was the last piece of the old west, complete with cattle, tumbleweeds, roadrunners, and ravens. When you get away here, you really do get away from it all.. 'We came for the dark skies and we weren't disappointed. It is a great place for astrophotography-- but beware of the wind. The bunk house is fantastic. It is quite roomy, everything is brand new, and it has lots of great amenities. There is an outside patio with a fire pit and barbecue stations. Communication with the owner is easy and straightforward. Make sure to bring everything you will need as this place is pretty far from shops/gas stations etc.'
