'The host Allen was great! He stayed in communication with us and even offered to turn on the heater for us because we weren’t expected to get in until about 10pm. When we arrived the thermostat was showing that it was heating but the vents were blowing cold air and the inside temp read 61. 'My son and I had a wonderful time staying in this lovely ranch house in the Panoche Valley. I’ve always felt this area was the last piece of the old west, complete with cattle, tumbleweeds, roadrunners, and ravens. When you get away here, you really do get away from it all.. We definitely could have stayed longer. The house was very comfortable and my son liked the loft, though I wouldn’t recommend it for younger children since there isn’t a railing.
