'Dit is een “ouderwets” motel: grote kamer, auto parkeren voor de deur, voucher voor ontbijt bij de buren (ontbijt restaurant), kort persoonlijk contact met eigenaar. Dit was een prima verblijf met alles erop en eraan voor een prima prijs. '

'I stayed in one of the geodesic domes, which are behind the main lodge. There are 7 domes that share 3 bathrooms, which are in a different building. You receive a key upon check-in to unlock one of 3 doors to a private bath (sink, toilet, and shower). I was a little worried about having access to a bathroom given all 7 domes were rented during my stay and only 2 of the 3 bathrooms were usable...but never had to wait. The two things the bathrooms need are a mirror and additional wall hooks....

'Everything was fine except when we left no one was at the desk to check us out. And there was no breakfast ready.and we left after 7am. Otherwise it was a nice place.'

'Watching a movie on a big screen (former drive in) outside under the stars sitting in a folding chair with a down blanket and popcorn/ fabulous!!!! Worth the effort. I don’t like the trend of no on site managers and no response to email but i understand from an economic point of view it is necessary. Some emails were answered and some went unanswered. It’s a well taken care of property. '

'We appreciate that the owners tried to make the rooms unique and in their own style, but it was unpracticle. Almost no room to put your luggage and toiletteries, because the room is too cluttered. An extra blanket would have been nice. And hot water at the sink. Didn’t try the shower with cold water at the sink. '

'The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 shower), a really well equipped kitchen, a nice dining room and living room. Very convenient for a large family. Drive to Great Sand Dunes is about 30 minutes. Ft. Garland is tiny so for anything beyond very basic groceries you will want to drive to Alamosa. The host was very responsive and everything was clean and as advertised. I would recommend it!'
