'Our big family enjoyed our stay here! The house was spacious and well-located, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time. While we encountered a couple of hiccups during our visit, the host was quick to address them. Otherwise this is an amazing getaway spot for families!'

'Really enjoyed the place. It definitely has an older feel. But we liked it. The view is more than we expected. Enjoyed looking out over the lake. But be advised. Kitchen was missing a lot of staples you’d expect. The tea kettle was rusted. There was only one measuring cup which made it hard to bake. There were a lot of supplies and condiments which were appreciated, but other things you’d expect in a kitchen were just not there. The beds were uncomfortable. The bedding and blankets are just old....

'We had a wonderful time gathering our extended family together over the Thanksgiving holiday at this lovely home in Dollar Point. The views were spectacular and could be seen from almost every room. Plenty of space for a variety of activities. Will stay here again if we get the chance!'

'It was a good place to stay. We had 12 people for a family reunion, with about 20 others at different homes near Fallen Leaf Lake. There were a good number of queen/king beds so sleeping arrangements went smoothly. As noted on other reviews, it’s pretty dark in the house so so better lighting would be good, and some bulbs need replacing. We were having nightly “reunion” dinners so we had those at the other homes because this one was just too dark, especially as it got later in the day. Plus...

'Our family had a wonderful stay at the Lakehouse - spacious, warm, clean and light, beautiful scenery (lake, vineyards, horses). Kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, small appliances, and cooking gear, as well as basic kitchen needs (oil and spices, foil, etc.). We loved the great room, movie night, walks on the property. Tim and staff were quick and attentive to a request for help in re-setting the TV/cable/internet box. Fairly quick drive into Placerville for supplies, wine tasting....
