'This was even better than the pictures! You walk into the house and the living and dining area is open concept and all windows so all you see is the beautiful cypress trees and ocean view. The backyard is amazing and we lounged by the huge fire pit every night. The area is very quaint and small and several hiking trails literally just out the door. The cypress tree tunnel trail that you can walk to is so beautiful!! I was concerned since it was next to a restaurant but you do not hear any...

'We stayed for Christmas to be with our son and had a great time. The house is in a great neighborhood with access to freeways and many points of interest around the city. The house is spacious, well laid out and large enough for family. The bonus room was great for rainy day movie watching and the beds were comfy. We look forward to returning.'

'The host was prompt in replying to messages. We enjoyed the large dining room table. There were 9 of us. We originally had 10 but one was unable to make it. There were no wine glasses, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. The cleaning crew needs to do a better job. There were no top sheets on the beds downstairs and the bathroom towels upstairs were all damp. There wasn’t any body wash or soap in the upstairs shower. Overall, though, we were very happy with our time spent there. '

'We were looking for a house near to where we were having a celebration of life for a recently passed family member. The house was perfect for our large extended family (aunts, uncles, mom, siblings, kids (10, 13, 16). We were all comfortable in the house and were able to entertain friends who came by.The house was clean and in a great location for us. Communication and feedback with owner was great too.'

'Excellent '

'The stay was great except we lost the internet and cable for about 12 hours. Communication with manager was excellent; very responsive. The heaters are pretty weak.... had to turn them up to 'Hi' to keep warm. We stayed upstairs and managed but if anyone had even downstairs they probably would have been quite cold.'

'We enjoyed our stay here very much. The house is cozy and comfortable, and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The bunk beds were especially appreciated by our 8 and 10-year-olds. The location was excellent for walking down to the beach to play in the sand and go for walks. And downtown was close too. We would stay here again.'

'Went to the city for a concert at Oracle Park and wanted a place that was big enough for 4 people to be comfortable and wasn’t right in the middle of the city. This place was so perfect for us!! Off street parking, easy access to the freeway and a great house to boot. The owner has done a great job setting this up for users and it worked great as the living room is separate from the bedrooms so this old Dad could get up early in the morning without disturbing the youngsters who like to sleep...

'This was one of our favorite VRBO trips and property, stunning area, very peaceful place to take a break!'

'We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and closeness to the beach and trails. Our family fit nicely. We enjoyed the birds in the trees and bushes and took many photos of the hummingbirds. However, the master bath did not have wash cloths or hand towels. And with 5 of us we had to wash dishes by hand every meal (hard to do with one dishtowel) so we had enough dishes for the next meal. We didn't use the dishwasher because each meal did not fill it. '

'This little SSF art deco home has the old quaint feel… It’s so charming and comfortable, a nice patio and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Communication with the host was fantastic.. his friendly and helpful demeanor was “ tops” If I could give more stars I would, we will definitely be back! '

"Prachtig en luxe hotel met alle faciliteiten die je maar wenst: sauna, zwembad, whirlpool, fitness, roomservice en fijne (dure) restaurants. Mooie plekjes om in de avond even lekker buiten te loungen bij een gezellig vuur."

"Het hotel is verouderd en de kamer was vies. Smerig tapijt, allemaal vlekken. Gordijnen die gescheurd en kapot waren. Op verzoek andere kamer gekregen maar niet heel veel beter. Ontbijtruimte is klein maar verder prima verzorgd. Personeel achter de receptie vonden wij vrij ongeïnteresseerd. Bij binnenkomst werden we niet eens begroet. Dat is toch wel het minimale."

Fine for a layover, look elsewhere for longer stay

"It’s a dated place with a horrible breakfast. Go here if you need a low cost night before a flight, but I would not recommend a longer stay. The bathroom flooded due to the setup of the shower and you can see a lot of water damage throughout the room. This hotel needs a refurbishment. The breakfast was awful. Single use plastic throughout and the ‘warm’ meals like eggs, bacon and sausage were not warm at all. The people who worked there were lovely, this is not an indictment on them, but rather on the state of the place itself. "
