'This was a great location to visit Shenandoah National Park for a few days. It was a 15 minute drive for us to the Swift Run entrance. The farm itself is peaceful & beautiful! Our kids loved the cows out front, and we enjoyed Star viewing each night. I think 3 bedrooms is misleading… the 3rd “bedroom” is a large closet/attic off of the master bedroom, with wooden pallet beds. It was ok for my elementary age kids, but if I’d had teens or other adults expecting an actual bedroom with comfortable...

'I had my (very small) wedding at the farmhouse with our close family and friends and the entire event was amazing and made perfect by the house and by Lisa. I cannot say enough good things about the beautiful property (unbelievably well renovated and comfortable), Lisa's outstanding hospitality and helpfulness, and how incredibly special it was to have our wedding there - a feeling shared and expressed repeatedly by everyone who joined us as well! '

'2-5 Aug 2024 Modern house with an excellently furnished kitchen. Spacious yard. Solid air conditioning and a nice hot tub. The website needs updating. Breakfast (cereal and pancake mix shown in photos and stated on page) is no longer provided. The house is on 3 levels. It is no longer configured to sleep 20. Three bedrooms (one connected to a bathroom) in the walkout basement sleep 6 and a trundle-bed (not 2 bunks) can sleep 2. The main floor has 3 bedrooms (including a master w/bathroom) and...

'My family and I had a wonderful stay at Elena's property. We rented both houses which are about a football field apart from each other. The house was well equipped and Elena was an amazing and responsive host. Great location for hiking old rag was well. Would absolutely recommend '

'We loved staying here and would recommend it to any family! It was perfect to gather around the table and enjoy a home cooked meal we had prepared together and then go outside and hang around the fire pit knowing we wouldn’t be disturbing anyone out in the country. Jennifer was very accommodating and very responsive and went out of her way to make our family feel welcome at the Farmhouse. I am definitely recommending to family and friends!'

'Cute farmhouse has a wonderful pool and hot tub! It’s on the outskirts of Luray, so plan on driving a bit to see the sights but it’s nice and quiet. There’s lots of levels to spread out in the house. Owner was very responsive and helpful with local suggestions of things to do and places to go. We enjoyed Skyline Drive in Shenandoah State Park that was about an hour from the house. '

'As always everything was wonderful on Helms Mountain. Peaceful, relaxing, and the electric fireplace made it cozy on the cold nights. Hot tub was the best way to start the day and also finish the day under the stars.'

"The motel was very old and worn down. Cleanliness seemed okay. Location was not quiet due to loud train traffic during the night as well as loud air conditioning units. The view of the mountains was nice, but the area didn't feel all that safe. The wifi connection was bad. All of this would have been acceptable for me with the cheap price, but then I discovered bedbugs right before going to bed, causing me to have to sleep in my car instead. Luckily, I did get my money back. However they were so easy about it that it seemed to be a regular occurrence. Watch out for bedbugs if you still want to book here."
