'Overall I will say we had a pleasant stay. Positives: It was a great location and the view was beautiful. The weather was great so we found the deck a pleasant place to spend time. Though the place is dated it had a new oven and a small gas grill which was a nice surprise. Negatives: It took getting used to being comfortable showering in front of huge windows with no curtain. There were well maintained walking trails, plenty of chairs and areas to sit and enjoy the outdoors, and a wide variety of games and activities for ALL ages available (indoor and outdoor). 'My son and I have so enjoyed our two stays at this lovely home right on Donner Lake. There are views from almost every room and window in the house. There is a big outdoor area including a beach which even in late spring was beautiful to enjoy rock collecting and fishing from the shore. It's just 8 minutes to downtown Truckee for restaurants and shops and the train station. 10 minutes to Sugar Bowl, 10 minutes to Tahoe Donner Downhill, 5 minutes to Safeway. 'This house was perfect for celebrating our daughter’s 16th birthday at the lake. The girls loved having their own space upstairs in the master bedroom and loft while my husband and I were downstairs in the guest suite.
