'This home isn’t only beautiful. But super cozy. The stay was excellent. The check in was a very fast process. This is our second time renting from this company different locations and both are amazing. Highly recommend '

'Pleasant neighborhood and local restaurant in walking distance. Clean linen and nice appeal. Stairs above us and neighbor was loud. No hand towel and poor parking availability. Tub was not cleaned out. Shower was great. Lighting was wonderful.'

'We stayed here with our 4 year old and really enjoyed it. Big, spacious rooms, quality appliances in the kitchen, and all very well maintained. Patrick was responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We had a couple of rainy days while we were there and had some cosy days staying in watching TV, doing a bit of cooking etc. It's a safe and friendly feeling part of Oakland with a nice little restaurant strip down the hill on Grand Ave. We also enjoyed walking across to the rose garden or...

'My husband, daughter and I were in Redwood City and stayed for 3 nights here. It worked perfectly for us. We really loved each having our own bedroom and a well appointed kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was super quiet at night, the water pressure in the shower was great, the closets were empty and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. Our daughter loved reading outside in the back yard in the morning. We would stay there again.'

'The house was exactly as described in the listing and was a great spot for 4 of us to stay during our business trip to the area. The house was clean, the owner was clear and timely in their communication. I will definitely look to rent it again when we are in the area for work.'

My host Yolanda was awesome she's very helpful and friendly and I wish I could have met her in person. What I like most is safe parking spots in the neighborhood and the comfy bed. 'Went to the city for a concert at Oracle Park and wanted a place that was big enough for 4 people to be comfortable and wasn’t right in the middle of the city. This place was so perfect for us!! Off street parking, easy access to the freeway and a great house to boot. The owner has done a great job setting this up for users and it worked great as the living room is separate from the bedrooms so this old Dad could get up early in the morning without disturbing the youngsters who like to sleep...

'charming well appointed home in a very comfortable safe feeling neighborhood. comfortable furnishings and beds and all the comforts of home. very sweet back yard area with seating separate from pool area. pool is very nice although since its not heated we were not able to really use it since we weren't there during the peak heat of the day mornings and evenings were to cold to use the pool '

'This little SSF art deco home has the old quaint feel… It’s so charming and comfortable, a nice patio and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Communication with the host was fantastic.. his friendly and helpful demeanor was “ tops” If I could give more stars I would, we will definitely be back! '

'My husband and I had previously stayed at the cottage. John and Arthur are great hosts! Helped me with restaurant ideas for a surprise birthday gathering for our daughter. Everything you need is provided and if you have a question or request it is answered promptly. Lovely setting, 3 min. walk to downtown Alameda to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful garden with lounge chairs provided. Canaries singing and a koi pond. All in all, a great stay! '

"Prachtig en luxe hotel met alle faciliteiten die je maar wenst: sauna, zwembad, whirlpool, fitness, roomservice en fijne (dure) restaurants. Mooie plekjes om in de avond even lekker buiten te loungen bij een gezellig vuur."

"Het hotel is verouderd en de kamer was vies. Smerig tapijt, allemaal vlekken. Gordijnen die gescheurd en kapot waren. Op verzoek andere kamer gekregen maar niet heel veel beter. Ontbijtruimte is klein maar verder prima verzorgd. Personeel achter de receptie vonden wij vrij ongeïnteresseerd. Bij binnenkomst werden we niet eens begroet. Dat is toch wel het minimale."

Fine for a layover, look elsewhere for longer stay

"It’s a dated place with a horrible breakfast. Go here if you need a low cost night before a flight, but I would not recommend a longer stay. The bathroom flooded due to the setup of the shower and you can see a lot of water damage throughout the room. This hotel needs a refurbishment. The breakfast was awful. Single use plastic throughout and the ‘warm’ meals like eggs, bacon and sausage were not warm at all. The people who worked there were lovely, this is not an indictment on them, but rather on the state of the place itself. "
