'Visited for our 32nd wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Booked a classic double room but when we arrived were informed that they upgraded us to an executive room which was really large and immaculately prepared. We had use of the spa facilities if needed for additional cost but free use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for 1 hour per day which made for a relaxing time after a long walk around York. Breakfast was really nice with a large choice of continental and cooked...

'Staff and restaurant very nice, rooms are dated. We stayed in an Exec Room which we felt was on the small side, it didn't feel like an upgrade from a classic room. Tea/Coffee and water in the room is complimentary, everything else is chargable. Overall it was a very nice stay, once in the room I didnt get the luxury feel'

'The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London was a pleasant surprise. It’s a beautifully restored train station with great attention to detail. The entrance and dining hall were stunningly styled. The rooms were fine, though it would have been nice if a toothbrush and razor were provided as standard. The restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere with excellent music, and the service was top-notch. Occasionally, there was a bit too much upselling, but overall, it’s well worth 5 stars.'
